After switching following our previous bookkeeper's unexpected departure, I've been extremely disappointed with their service. Attempting to get our 2024 books done has been a frustrating experience spanning four months of:

- Poor communication and slow response times
- Constantly having to follow up for updates
- Complete lack of proactivity
- Unresponsiveness to requests for a CPA despite willingness to pay more to support the delays
- Inability to properly address our accounting issues

I've now hired a separate CPA to review our books as I've lost confidence in Westwood's ability to deliver. Though one staff member (Abby) was somewhat helpful, she was clearly overextended. Josh seems checked out. I regret trusting the recommendation from my colleagues and would not recommend this service to others looking for reliable, responsive accounting support for their business.

My father passed away at the end of 2016. Dealing with the loss of my father was difficult enough, but added to that was the fact that my father was a CPA and had been doing my taxes my entire life. This would be the first time anyone other than my father would guide me through this process. I was lucky enough to find Josh, who not only is a total pro with a quick turnaround time, but a really good human being. He's now been my CPA for the past 8 years and I always look forward to our annual Skype tax meeting.

Me and my husband have been working with Josh for the past two years+, and I cannot say enough good things. He is kind, his email responses are extremely prompt and clear, he makes things very understandable, and he doesn't take himself too seriously - which is so important for me since I start getting anxious approaching tax season. We switched over to him after working with someone else and were a mess for that year (I was filing income from two different states, as a student, then as a temp employee, then as a full-time employee + my husband was self-employed), and Josh patiently helped us reorganize everything so that we were on track for the next year.

I can honestly say that I look forward to tax season because Josh is my accountant. He is very good at letting me know what documentation to provide for tax season, and gets back to me in a timely manner (responds to emails very quickly!).

Josh picked me up as a last minute client in April of 2019 (a week before taxes were due), when I was told my accountant of several years was no longer doing taxes. Since completing my 2018 taxes, he help me set up my LLC, breakdown my C-Corp, and apply for PPP loans.

In March of 2020, Josh + his office sent out an email on a Saturday to all clients to go over what was covered under the CARES act- who was eligible for unemployment benefits, what loans were available for small businesses. I forwarded this email to my friends and they also found this information very helpful- their accountants didn't do this for them. It says a lot about what Josh and his team does for his clients.

Josh and his team are much more than just "tax accountants"!
