I was very pleased with the services provided. I had always prepared my own taxes for the past twenty years. I moved to NY last August and knew I needed someone to prepare my taxes. I Googled CPA near me and found Thomson. I called and got an appointment. I provided my information and documentation. They did an excellent job,and were reasonable in their fees. I plan to use them next year,even though my taxes will be less complicated. Very pleased with Thomson.

Zero stars. I found them to be totally unresponsive. Never answering calls or emails. When it came time to prepare taxes I found Ashia to be hostile, defensive, insulting, and completely unhelpful. She was pressuring me into owing $75k to the IRS. I worked with another tax preparer and got it down to $3k. Would not recommend.

Definitely the best tax service I’ve had! Ashia and her tax expert team are very efficient and were extremely helpful with me. I had several forms to add, but that didn't stop them from completing my return with accuracy! This is the best return I have had! I will absolutely go back next year!

I had a lot of questions because of my partial unemployment last year. Normally, I file my taxes on my own. This year was a little different. Thomson Accountants came highly recommended by a friend and they provided prompt responses to my questions and a quick turn around to file my return. The owner personally reached out to me to ensure all of my concerns were addressed. I look forward to working with them again next year.

We paid a “professional” $250 to file our taxes because we did not want to make any mistakes. Big mistake on our behalf because Aiesha filed for us with inaccurate information (financial related which should be her specialty as we do not feel confident with this stuff, hence we went to an account). After months of waiting for our tax return to get resolved, she offered no solution or even taking responsibility for her mistake. Our refund was less than what she had told us by more than half, and it took five months with me calling the IRS to figure it out. Oh, but she did offer us $5 credit towards next year if we file with her. Really? Never again! The only reason we went there is because we were long time clients of Wes… she is unprofessional and I no longer have high hopes for this place.

So, I read the reply to my review. And to make things known because clearly you’re trying to blame your client for your mistake… we provided every piece of information needed with dates and amounts on the information packet that you sent us. Meaning, we left nothing behind in order for you to file correctly. Again, we pay a professional to do the accounting part of it because we did not feel comfortable with that aspect to do it ourselves. We reviewed the final form that was sent to us and pointed out the mistakes with the social security number (you put my phone number instead of the SS#) and that was fixed. BUT with the financial component, we relied on the account to insure that that was correct as far as calculating the amount and taking into consideration the income which, AGAIN, was all supplied to you on the form with dates an amounts.
Because of your mistake, our refund was less by over half of the original calculated amount that YOU did, and it was delayed for over 6 months from the filing date.
You did not follow up after your mistake, it was the client making all the phone calls when you were paid to file on our behalf.
Needless to say, Sweeney trusted the wrong person with his business.

It was very easy to get an appointment with their office. A quick return on the taxes. I have used them for the passed several years. They explain all the details and help me get all the deductions I am entitled to.

Phone number listed on the web rings once and hangs up
Phone number that used to work is no longer in service
That makes us unable to communicate with the company we hired to do our taxedtaxes
