Research the troubled teen industry before sending your child to tempo. Many of the techniques that Tempo uses are in-line with those used in places like the Elan school and synanon. This is systematic abuse of children for profit.

Tempo was associated with a facility in Mississippi that has since been shutdown. Someone died there. They only care about getting your money for as long as possible without regard to the actual safety of the people they are "treating." I also think Barry is unprofessional, especially towards younger women.

Edit to respond: Tempo was sending people to Copac up until the point it was shut down. Your facility associated with those places, fact. Barry also worked at that facility for many many years and the legacy he left will forever spoil the Tempo name.

Some wildly inaccurate comments have compelled me to write a review. I have been with tempo for almost two years now, abrasive, unprofessional, and rude is a complete misrepresentation of this staff. I was once in your position so I have an understanding of where you may be at mentally. If you can’t get one over on people that doesn’t mean they are rude or insensitive. Its time to grow up. I dealt directly with Charlene over email and on the phone last week and she was nothing, but pleasant and helpful. She worked with me and we reached a mutually beneficial outcome that same day. I know I am not the easiest person to deal with, but the Tempo staff have always treated me with respect and kindness since day one. I suggest you continue to seek help and take it seriously. This is your life and if you are having a hard time with people who are truly looking out for you, it might be time to do a serious evaluation of your life and who you are. I want to thank Tempo for everything they have done for me the past year and 10 months. I am thankful for all of you.

Tempo group has good intentions but terrible methods of treatment. Too quick to suggest prescription drugs to replace your drug of choice however these prescription medications has many side effects that may lead to new issues.
