Partnership anyone? Akuity provides a managed service agreement with my company, OptiMA Inc. They are literally our IT department handling the most basic issue of daily user issues via their help desk to an onsite initial and ongoing quarterly review of system infrastructure, security and backups. From these reviews, areas of strengths, risk and exposure are identified. This information is compiled in a comprehensive report which is discussed and implemented and maintained in a timely manner and within established budget considerations.

For OptiMA, Akuity is a resource we chose to outsource. We are a company of 30 employees. Outsourcing only makes as our various needs range from senior level IT staffing to entry level staffing and the timing of the needs are sporadic. We could never afford a top level IT person or could we retain one due to boredom and a less senior staff member would not have the required knowledge needed at times. Akuity is an entire company with extensive knowledge available. The accessibility and cost is well worth it, especially when factoring in benefits which average 23 to 29% of wages.

If your looking, give them serious consideration - make your own decision once you gather the facts. Maybe their solution fits your needs, maybe it doesn't but they are worthy of your time to evaluate.

My husband and I own a medium sized landscaping business. Like a lot of business owners we are working hands-on out in the ‘field’ as well as behind the desk. We have several employees, but none that are dedicated to office work, besides myself and my husband. For years, we had a friend who was the most knowledgeable handling our IT issues. While it was cost effective, it was not the most efficient way to get things done, not to mention that fact that he couldn’t just drop everything and help us out every time something went wrong.
