My daughter, Darrianne, has played on 3 tours with Student Athlete World. Each trip has been amazing! The opportunity to play overseas has increased her confidence both personally and within her game. The staff of SAWUSA has been extremely professional at every level. The tours are educational, yet fun. By far, our favorite experience is the interaction with other young women who love the game as much as she does. The memories and friendships made will last a lifetime. These experiences have already helped her in her college internship and I'm sure they will be an impressive part of her resume for upcoming career opportunities. If you are on the cusp of deciding if your daughter should go, please just say yes! It is worth every single penny, and then some!

The preparation for the tour by the Student Athlete World definitely was a success via the execution. The hostess and bus driver were amiable & made everyone feel safe and comfortable during the tour. The hotels were clean, comfortable and relaxing. The coach did a great job with the players who never practiced before going on tour. His engagement with the boys created a commandry on and off the court. The best part of the tour was enjoying the experience with strangers who became friends at the end of the tour. The 2024 Costa Rica basketball tour exposure has created a memory added to the books for sure!

I am currently crafting this letter in the air after returning from one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. As one that has been giving the opportunity to travel I have to say this experience truly has been amazing . SAWUSA (Mike, Tim, etc) truly have a gem on their hands with these tours . The program is truly though through to ensure you are enriched in culture and given life experience that most won’t have a chance to do in a lifetime more or less be given this opportunity while still in high school .

The coaching staff was exceptional. Despite their responsibilities to their own teams, they took the time to interact with players from other age groups, creating a cohesive and inclusive environment.

It truly gives the student athlete the opportunity to explore the world while competing in the sport that they love . If you are given the opportunity to add this journey to your life you should consider it . So many life lessons have been added to my son life . New connections that will sure stick with him for years to come . Thank you for considering him to be apart of this journey . My family is extremely grateful

Was a great experience and I would have made the trip again the following year had my sister not have a destination wedding . The staff was totally amazing, I wouldn’t have an issue sending my son with them if I couldn’t make it . The experience wasn’t just about sport but so much more . We got to see and experience so much. My son met other athletes for the first time; however it was like they knew each other forever. All the parents got along well, seemed like one big happy family. Very memorable experience .

We went on the Costa Rica tour 2024. Everything was carefully planned out and well organized. Coach Stansberry is a great coach and mentor. Our guide in Costa Rica, Lucy, was amazing. Our bus driver Raymond was not only a bus driver, but also a paramedic. When my son got injured, Raymond and Lucy took care of him and also took us to the hospital and picked us up. Lucy also made sure we had someone with us who spoke Spanish. Lucy made sure we had everything we needed at all times. She went everywhere with us, and made the trip not only fun, but educational. I always felt safe. The hotels were all nice. One had a view of the volcano from our balcony and the all-inclusive resort on the beach was great. There were so many optional activities to do at night. The athletes as well as the parents will all be lifelong friends. Even though they just met, the boys all bonded and did everything as a team. I wish that I knew about SAW USA prior to this year. All of the tours look fun and great competition. If your athlete gets offered a spot on one of the tours, I would not pass it up.

I had the most incredible experience with SAWUSA. I did the United world games trip and I am thoroughly impressed with everything. I could not have asked for better food, hotels, coaches, flights, tour guides, and teammates. You can’t put a price on the life changing experience that I had at the United world games. In fact, I feel as though I will forever be in debt to SAWUSA for the opportunity and experience that they provided me. Not only did I become a better basketball player and traveler, but I became a better person and created friendships and memories that I’m confident will last a lifetime. I have no complaints and I would highly encourage anyone to do a trip with SAWUSA if possible. I hope do to another SAWUSA tour in 2025!

This is one of the most active and best experiences I have ever did in my life. I met new people and made a close bond (brotherhood)with these guys Tyler, TJ, Tad, Damian, Sherman, Ben, Anthony, Steele, Jonathan. First people I met first was in the airport was Tony, Steele, Jonathan, Damian, and Ben. The first day we already made a close bond on the court and off the court. The people in Austria were the best for real. But I think we was one of the best out of every USA team there in the World games. I thank you Mike , Coach Don, my teammates and their families and most importantly to my dad and my family for supporting all of us.

My son Julius and I had an amazing experience in Spain and Portugal this summer with SaWUSA! We instantly bonded with teammates and parents, which really made the trip very memorable. Coach Jamie was very personable and did a great job coaching the boys to an undefeated championship, bringing home the gold medal! We would definitely like to go again next year!
