“Formerly known as Don Veller Seminole Golf Course, the Club recently completed a comprehensive renovation of its golf facilities under the direction of the Nicklaus Design company.
The golf course was originally designed by Bill Amick and opened to the public in 1962. For years, the Club has served as the home of Florida State University's men's and women's golf teams. The renovation of the Club has effectively repositioned Seminole Legacy as one of the top collegiate golf clubs in the U.S.
The scope of the renovation includes a complete redesign of the golf course, with only one hole remaining from the original routing. All tees, fairways, rough, bunkers, greens and cart paths are new. Additionally, the old Don Veller course sat on about 210 acres, which included two driving ranges, a small short game area for the golf teams and a 7,147-yard par-73 golf course. The new golf course will be 7,800 yards and a par 72, sitting on 174 acres, including the two ranges and a new 12-hole par three course for the golf teams.
Additional amenities include The Burr Family Renegade Grill™, a state-of-the-art clubhouse, a fully stocked Golf Pro Shop and on-site PGA-certified staff who can assist players of all ages and abilities.”

FSU golf course, pretty easy to get into and is usually in pretty good shape. Muni type course that isn’t too tough and a great place to practice. The membership really makes it affordable. It’s got some good practice facilities as well.

This place is impressive! From the minute you walk into the pro shop to the grille, they really make you feel welcome! The course is amazing! It's in impeccable condition! Greens are impressive! Can't wait to go back!

Course was in great condition. A lot of rain lately so that goes without saying very saturated on the fairways. Greens rolled very well and fast still even though wet. Very challenging and fun course to play!

This golf course is always in excellent shape & will test every facet of your game. The level of service by all employees is outstanding and they do all they can to accommodate any request. Well managed and the events they run there are second to none. They have awesome food and drinks to match. Truly a great club! Bravo Seminole Legacy!

Nothing like it in the area. Golf course is in fantastic shape and can host anything they want to. A great home for two of the best golf teams in the country. Florida State has made it possible for this to be one of the best collegiate golf courses in the country.

Amazing golf course with a cheap membership that you can get your money's worth back with the discount at the restaurant. Great driving range, even at the busiest times there's still room for more golfers

First of all, 10/10 course. Every time I’ve played here it’s in amazing condition and the groundskeepers keep it pristine.

However, the management has recently been making questionable decisions. My son is a student member at this course which they require you to pay your dues up front at the beginning of the semester. Now, a month or two after they’ve collected all of their student membership dues, they are trying to reduce their member privileges. They’ve split the range in half for a student side only which is often in much worse condition than what the “full members” get. Often 1-2 bays on the student side are occupied by the pros giving lessons.

Today, he sent me pictures of the entire student side of the range sanded while the full member side was untouched. As a former Nole, booster, and member at a couple of GCs in my life, why are you discriminating against student members after you collected their money? Either price them out to where they can’t afford it, or treat them right. At the very least, you owe them their expectations under their contract they paid for at the beginning of the semester.

It seems that the management has forgot they run FSU’s course and are paid by my son’s tuition.
