I have been training with Alex at SSP Phinney Ridge for a year now. Alex stands out not only as a great coach, but also a wonderful person to look forward training with. She motivates you and gets the energy going. I don’t dread going to the gym to workout with Alex, as I used to with other trainers and other gyms. She gives you the attention, makes sure you get the posture and workout right and tracks which weights work well for you. I have never had any pain or discomfort after a personal training session. Alex’s explanations are so easy to understand - she has a way of teaching the right form. I highly recommend!

I was looking to get into strength training this year, but I was nervous and a bit intimidated to join a gym. SSP Phinney has been the perfect fit for me! It's such a warm and welcoming environment and I felt immediately at ease when I joined 6 months ago. The trainers are friendly and the workouts are challenging. I love the small class sizes and look forward to my weekly PT sessions with Alex. I always have a good time, even when my muscles are burning.

SSP Phinney is a small, friendly gym with great personal trainers (Alex M. is my favorite). The equipment and movements are perfect for functional fitness. You can easily get a full workout in a mere 45 minutes. It’s fun to see your progress over a couple of months! The heavier weights get easier and you find that you don’t dread the effort.

I can't say enough positive things about SSP Phinney! The trainers are excellent - super professional, but also create a really fun, nurturing and familial environment. The programs are specific and highly tailored to the needs of each client, which is important to me, as I have a lot of unique health challenges. SSP has been the only gym or workout program of any kind I have stuck with long term, going on 9 months now! I really attribute that to the personalized plans they have, and the upbeat, welcoming environment. All of the coaches I have worked with so far have been wonderful, although my personal training days are mainly with Alex. She always pushes me just enough when I need it, but also knows sometimes I just need to take an easy day.

Honestly, my body has never felt better. I didn't realize how much weight lifting would improve my overall feeling of health and stability. And I definitely could not have done it on my own. The trainers here really start you off at the right level and take you through to where you want to go. I've only been doing this for a month and I can't believe how drastically different I feel. Highly recommend.

SSP Phinney is a small-but-mighty training gym with fantastic coaches. I'm inspired by the people training around me -- showcasing various body types and fitness levels. I like the small group coaching because I like to be able to get clear guidance and then focus on what I need to do without feeling self-conscious as I do my sets. The positive environment and the constantly changing workouts keeps me coming back.

I have been going to personal training at SSP for a little over a year now, about 2x a week. Besides the fact that this is the accountability and structure I've been needing for years, the environment here is so welcoming and inclusive of everyone. I think the trainers do a great job of pushing my limits while respecting my energy levels and making adjustments where needed. I love that I feel stronger and that I've been able to be more consistent than in my past. Thanks SSP!
