I bought a home here in NC from NY state. I found a nice home, but the realtor failed to tell me that this was in a VERY rural area. I have been unhappy since I moved in September 2024, and I am going to move back. This is an extremely expensive problem, one that I don’t know if I can afford.

Edited to respond: Hopefully it’s a learning experience for your agent.

Recently sold my house ahead of a cross country move. My realtor didn’t work at Remax but the buyers realtor does.

Throughout the process, we were very accommodating to requests made by the buyers agent to aid the buyer on a number of things.

However, on the scheduled day of closing, we found out that the buyers agent changed the closing date without letting us know costing me a few hundred dollars in unnecessary hotel expenses in addition to extra stress changing documentation on my new house purchase last minute.

When confronted about the lack of communication, she was nonchalant and flippant showing a lack of care for all parties involved until after she was confronted by my agent. Her lack of professionalism could have cost me several hundred dollars and the new house I was under contract for.

I would like to speak on the review for Chris Claiborne . My experience was completely different with her . She also informed me of having personal issues when I was finally ready to sell my house , and she was very kind. She put me in touch with Tiffany Claiborne who was INCREDIBLE!! She worked so hard for me and got me the best prices for work for the house , and always gave me straightforward advice. I really felt like she was looking out for my best interest through out the whole process which was very important to me. My house sold for more than I ever thought it would , and I think Tiffany’s hard work contributed to that. Either one of these ladies are wonderful people to work with , and will do an amazing job !!

This 1 star is really for Chris Claiborne, realtor at Remax. After calling the operator who was cordial, I was transferred to the next realtor in the work queue. That person happened to be Chris Claiborne. I introduced myself and even tried breaking the ice by saying my name is Chris too. There was no breaking this one's ice though.

I then asked her if she listed commercial property, to which she responded she does, but "for personal reasons", she was unable to help me. There was a silent pause as I anticipated her finding someone else to help me, but no luck there. I had to tell her I was going to report her for being so audaciously rude before she would give me a number of someone else to call, which happened to be the number that sent me back to the operator.

The operator was again pleasant and nice. She apologized for the issues and transferred me to another agent, Duke Cox.

Duke answered all my questions and was extremely helpful. If it wasn't for Duke, I'd have given a 1 star. Unfortunately the sour note left my Chris Claiborne overpowered the positive tone set by Duke.

Addendum:
The owner's response says everything about their customer service. I don't want to hear your justification for why she treated me the way she did. We all have personal issues. If she can't help customers, why is she in the work queue? She was rude and belittling. Bottom line
