In early 2019 I was already eight years into an early retirement from my 42 year career in TV and motion pictures. My wife was set to retire from the same industry the following year. We were very fortunate to have a successful equity portfolio that was invested 100% in Berkshire Hathaway, earning between 15% and 20% per year for 20 years. Our portfolio is earning a good, consistent income without our having to deal so much with the fluctuations of the market. The management of our portfolio is incredibly proactive and intelligent. Even if I were a financial expert I could never manage my own portfolio this effectively, nor would I want to! I am thrilled to pay a very fair fee for this kind of excellent service and, of course, the better we do the better they do! I also appreciate that I can still make my own financial decisions after seeking the advice of this great team of professionals that are always available. Despite the company's rapid growth, we are still treated as though we are two of their most important clients and I appreciate that very much! It is a great feeling to be able to just relax and enjoy life, knowing that our money is in really good hands! No, they didn't pay me to say that!! And, by the way, they also helped us update our trust!
