Overall great experience and we were privileged to experience this multigenerational awesomeness still being served today. The ribs omg!!!! Amazing. Our server Koisha was very welcoming. We got to meet the owner and he was very friendly as well. We will definitely make the trip back in the future.

The bbq sandwich was super delicious. I got Mac n cheese and it was absolutely my favorite part - baked and seemed to be homemade. The coleslaw was slightly sweet which isn’t my preference but I was happy with everything.

There were only 2 employees at work in Poppa's Finest, and 12 people who were either placing or had placed orders. These 2 alone were able to fulfill all orders in a very timely manner. I will be back!!

We have lived in the Augusta area for 5 years and we cant believe were just not finding this place! To say we are picky bbq eaters is an understatement. I have a long lime of chefs in my family and bbq is one thing we know. My husband and I agree the ribs here are some of the best weve ever eaten. They have flavor, no bad after taste and you can tell they were pit cooked. We will be back..actually we will probably be back tomorrow with parents!

I had the rib and bbq combo and really enjoyed it. Inside was had a home feeling and the 2 gentleman I seen/talked to were friendly. Would come back again.

I’ve never had an experience where I visited this restaurant and they had everything listed on the menu at hand. Either they have this and don’t have that. I wasn’t crazy about the chopped bbq in the sandwich, it was okay though. I tried their ribs once and they were very tender , but it was basically just fat on the rib, I didn’t get much meat. They have an in house bbq sauce and the first time I tried it , it was good , then the second time it tasted like tomato sauce infused with pepper. They have pretty good potato salad , that was best thing I’ve had from there. I’ve given this restaurant a few chances but it’s just not a hit for me . The staff is really nice though
