We got a phone call from Mr. Aronov concerning my grandmother’s house in Queens, NY. I hadn’t lived there since 1960 when I was 8 years old. My grandmother died 35 years ago. It was left to other relatives. The house was totally neglected and turned into an abandoned house. His firm offered me a large amount of money for the house. It was a long complicated process to prove that I was the last heir. Every sentence Mr. Aronov said began with I want you to call your attorney first then if it’s ok with you and him, this is what I propose. Mr. Aronov was completely honest and forthcoming with everything he did. The deal finally came through, on a house I didn’t know I owned. Investment company primarily targeting distressed properties. They want properties in foreclosure or where owners have filed bankruptcy. People fail to realize that they are better off listng their home with a Real Estate agent than selling to investors because they offer way less than you would normally get if you were to list the property yourself. Also, sometimes you can get a loan modification via the court. Settlement conferences for foreclosure cases are part of the foreclose process in New York. Look at all of your options before selling to an investor. They are not seeking to help you but to help themselves to your property at bottom basement prices then flip them for a profit. Don't fall for it.
