The great state of California! I had arrived! I came flying along the highway through the passes, and then, suddenly, out of the hills. I was stunned in awe. Rising from the land was an enormous mountain, the heights of it snow capped and soaring into the sky. I needed somewhere to stop and take a picture. The Mt Shasta Overlook! I slid from my bike and took a picture, the Nighthawk backed by the mountain. It was perfect. One year later I returned, on the same bike, and stopped again to take a picture. You never really get over a mountain like that.
