We moved back from NC and my husbands employer had deducted Ohio taxes. Ryan, the owner advised us to file to get the money back. Obviously we took his recommendation. When the State of Ohio pushed back, Ryan dropped the ball and ignored our calls and emails. We ended up paying more to the State and lost the money that we paid him to file the amended returns as well. As the owner of the tax service we assumed he knew what he was talking about…no so

EDIT: I want to amend my review as I received a call from the company apologizing for the miscommunication; they were very kind and told me they would've offered me an appointment for the confusion. However, I was already elsewhere having my taxes done. I appreciate them reaching out to correct the error only like 20 minutes after the fact.

Very disappointed, I read so many positive reviews and was excited to schedule as I am filing by myself for the first time this year. Came to my scheduled appointment just to be told it was non-existent, I’m not sure who took my call but I am very frustrated. Taxes are already frustrating enough and being blown off doesn’t help, person at desk was very nice however and salon upstairs helped me find the difficult to locate building. I wish I could comment more on the actual service but I cannot due to not even getting in.

Ryan has done my taxes for years now. He does a great job and makes doing taxes easy. He is efficient and dependable. 10/10 would recommend!

This is our 2nd year having our taxes done at Mid-Ohio and we will definitely keep going back. They always get us an appointment quickly , they are friendly, the appointment doesn't take long and the price is reasonable.

They did my taxes as a walkin, which they are by appointment only, which was nice of them.
I unfortunately made the mistake of providing an inaccurate SS number for one of my children.
100 percent my fault.
My issue was that there was absolutely no communication even after I called to check on the status since the irs website was giving errors saying I haven't filed a return for 2022.
I even called Ryan's office and was told they didn't have anything about the IRS not receiving my return, which I guess isn't true. The IRS said they gave the filer a reason why it was not accepted. He just never called me to have the issue fixed and, instead, ignored it.

I would NOT recommend this business for tax services as the communication is just not there. Also, I just found out my direct deposit was entered wrong, so now I have to wait, who knows how long for a paper check. Ugh

Ryan and his staff are so Awesome.
We moved here from Wooster and looking for someone for Tax Service.
I called for an appointment and they were able to find a slot that week.
We had such a wonderful experience with Ryan that we will be back every year, and Highly Recommend Mid Ohio Tax Service for all your tax needs.
