There's currently an advert on Youtube for the McCombs school of business and they claim that 97 million jobs will be created by 2030. That's actually a 2020 WEF statement. If they are THAT stupid, you would be wasting your time to apply to this school. Just an unbelievable lie and a clear demonstration of NO knowledge of AI (see 3blue1brown LLM explanation) and a stunning lack of critical thinking. Ditto for anyone else who is part of this global fraud. Read, ask questions, use critical thinking. Focus on tokens and parameters - that's a clue as to why this is a massive fraud.

Update: they put a ping pong table in The lounge!!!

The faculty here are great! However, I am only giving 3 stars due to the lack of leisure amenities in the PhD student lounge. Adding a ping pong table to the lounge would have a positive effect on student wellbeing and productivity

This place is very clean and neat. The 4 stars is because I had a class here, and had never been in this building before. It took me like 30 minutes to find my class because it was in the backrooms There needs to be more signs. I was extremely late, and it turns out my class was moved… UT did not even notify me of this.

Nonetheless, there was a worker the first day who showed newcomers around, which helped a lot. He worked the first day in the fall semester 2023. Also, I don’t know her name, but there was a lady the day my class moved who helped me out so much. I think she worked these kind of ordeals with students. The worker who helped find my class took me to her, and she had an office that was on the left wall in the middle. She called into the other buildings, and found my class for me. Also, she was so understanding and emailed my professor about the situation, so I was not counted absent despite missing the whole class. And most of all the worker who showed people around also waited there the whole time with me even though it was like a 20 minutes long wait bye. Whoever these two people are have earned my respect and commemoration !!

SCAM! Can’t believe UT has a ā€œpartnershipā€ with this. The ā€œadvisorsā€ are in India. The ā€œinstructorsā€ are in India. Signed up for a course. Paid and began the pre-course work for Full Stack. The first instructor ā€œtaughtā€ as if he were making his first home tutorial video for YouTube. Nearly every sentence began with ā€œso basically.ā€ It was so hard to follow simply because the instructor didn’t seem to be an actual professional who could teach adults. When a refund was requested, suddenly the callbacks and replies to email stopped. Finally heard back that my refund was refused. I only had faith in this program because UT allows their name on it. Even when I called UT directly, they were unfamiliar with this course until looking in their system and confirming it’s a partnership with an Indian company called Greater Learning. I have to wonder where all these good (misleading!) reviews are really coming from.

SCAM***. When I enrolled in AI course and ready to pay, bank declined because they noticed the request comes from Out of country. Luckily bank declined and my money is saved. Hope UT Austin takes some action to protect their identity.

I signed up for their online postgrad in data science expecting a UTA education. When the classes started, the guys lecturing weren't just NOT UT Austin faculty, they weren't even in the US! Basically, these are people from India using the UTA brand to sell overpriced Coursera-level fastfood education. I am so disappointed that UA allowed this to happen.

I sold my business to a graduate of the MBA program from McCombs School of Business.

Early on after the sale I could tell this particular human being had no idea what they were doing. Financial awareness was almost nonexistent (ridiculous amount of overhead spend right of the bat), leadership aptitude was unbelievably low (considering they came from a special forces division in the US military), work ethic and drive wouldn't have been enough to hold a job as a store manager for an IGA (worked maybe 6 hrs/day and didn't show up for 5 days after closing on the business)

In 4 short months they have defaulted on their loan (which I seller financed) for over $550k and destroyed a wonderful business that paid me quite well. Luckily, I received a hefty down payment that covered my cost basis in the business, so anything additional was gravy for me.

I believe if this person can get accepted and graduate from McCombs School of Business then I deserve a full ride scholarship. I would consider such an offer as an acceptable apology.
