A Legal Aid lawyer called and left me a message to call her back concerning a divorce I had applied for - I called her back and she told me that she could represent me, etc. - I told her some things have changed since I applied and that I was in the process of moving in with my youngest daughter in Fayetteville - she then asked me why - I told her it was personal, but she kept asking trying to get an answer out of me - I wish I had told her it was none of her business and hung up on her, but I told her I had to go - I feel like that was VERY unprofessional of her! I would NOT recommend her - she needs to be called out on this.

Legal Aid doesn't even deserve one star. They have told me over and over that they would help a year and a half later still no help and they are now saying extreme domestic violence isn't a priority to them and they have decided that they can't help they literally said they don't care that my ex tried to kill me and my kids, that he's a drug addict, or an extreme danger to me and my kids they're refusing to help. I'm a single mother who can't afford a divorce and they absolutely don't give a dam. Legal Aid needs to be completely shut down and we need a new system of lawyers that have a heart and compassion to actually help people.

Katharine Manuel is very attentive and diligent. She is passionate about her job and I felt she really cared about myself and my family as she represented me for a very complex case. Even a short period of time when she was home sick, she was busy working and getting things together for myself and her other clients. I highly recommend her as legal representation!

Basically, don't ask them for help if you're just poor without also being physically abused and/or threatened because they'll just tell you to contact an attorney. Ummm...if I had the resources to do that I wouldn't be calling Legal Aid Of Arkansas, but thanks. However, that's not the fault of the people who work there so they get one star for being polite, lol.

First they tried to sell me something then said I had to pay $19.95 a month for their services. Which I never got. What gives?🙃
