I came across Coach Kate at a time in my life when I needed help and guidance. My whole life up until I was in my mid-thirties was spent moving in one direction. From what college I went to, what I studied and what I thought I wanted to be was in pursuit of what I thought my dream was. Once I achieved what I thought I wanted I realized three things: I did not absolutely love what I was doing, I did not fit into the work culture I ended up in and I was profoundly unhappy every day. So, I made a drastic change and decided to start my own business.

I struggled for months, determined to do everything myself. Once I realized I needed help I started to search for that person, a business mentor and someone to support me during this transition. I sought out Kate’s guidance when I had just come off maternity leave and was looking to feel reinvigorated in my corporate sales career and “balance” my new role as a mother. Little did I know that we would dive so much deeper into where my life was heading, what my true values were and how I could leverage my strengths to feel more purposeful in all my various roles and identities. I was skeptical about what I would gain when we first began our weekly check ins but quickly realized that Kate had a way of providing space for me that allowed me to look inward, set goals and quickly go about creating change. In the past I placed so much pressure on myself to be fiercely independent. Call it a generational gender pre-disposition.
