Today I had my second follow-up appointment with JS Air and I am absolutely amazed at the quality of service they have provided for me and my family. Brandon was a very knowledgeable technician and is a very personable individual. He explained everything he was doing for my general knowledge and I could not thank him enough. There's no doubt in my mind that I will be utilizing their services again when needed. Absolutely recommend them to everyone looking for quick and quality service. One of my HVAC units went out and my home warranty company dispatched JS Air. I have an AC tune up every year on my units and the last couple of companies dispatched for the tune-up were...unimpressive.

Brandon diagnosed the problem and JS Air made sure the warranty company replaced the unit, which was shot, rather than trying to repair it. Very pleased with this company and will be recommending it to my neighbors. They were also prompt and scheduling was a breeze.

First service they added a couple of pounds of R410 A refrigerant,$680 dollars (25 lbs of R410A is about$300). Last a week. Second visit they added a sealant and more freon. Lasted ten days. I had bought a new unit for my new house and ask them to use it on my rental. Another $600 to hook it up. It must be nice to charge for your failures. I am an Electrical Contactor and I would never charge a customer for something I didn't fix. License to steal.

My home warranty assigned A/C repair to JS AIR and it's been a nightmare. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They gave me a window of 8am-12am when I had to stay home from work. They NEVER SHOWED. When questioned the dispatcher said she couldn't get a hold of the guy because his cell phone didn't work. They never called me back, never followed up. It's now 100-degree weather and I have to wait another 3 weeks for AHS to assign another company because JS AIR cannot do their job. BAD REP IN OAKHURST AREA - DO NOT USE.

We have two air conditioning units, first floor, second floor. The upstairs one needed a new thermostat and maintenance. Transformer needed replacing. The downstairs one was working but needed a new thermostat.
If you do a search to find out what typically HVAC transformers cost, this is what you get:
"Cost to Replace a Furnace Transformer: Replacing a transformer in a furnace costs $100 to $175. The part alone only runs $20 to $40 with labor making up the rest".
I was told my transformer cost $400 "and we happen to have one on the truck" Yeh right!
I received an invoice for $1000. Not something like $994, nor $1008, no, just a "nice round even" $1,000.
Can it get worse? YES. The downstairs unit stopped working. Over a subsequent six day period I left five voice messages, and I sent three emails. Their phone message, "This is JS Air. We are with customers right now and will call you right back". There was no response whatsoever from them. No call back, no response to email. I guess I made the mistake of leaving messages saying what had happened.
Can it get even worse still? YES! I had to pay for another HVAC company to come out, then subsequently found that JS Air had wired the downstairs thermostat incorrectly!
I should have been suspicious because the JS Air "technician" spent most of the time on the phone back and forwards with his boss asking what to do!
They are a rip off with their pricing, it is almost certainly true that they can only handle the most basic jobs (in which case they may have been able to achieve some ok reviews), and finally, they will not come back again to fix what wasn't done right.

I have been using JS Air for about 6 years. If I have a problem, the response is always very timely and they usually come out within 1 day or less. On rare occasions it might be 2 days when its really Hot. They are very professional, and always tell us what's wrong and what it will cost to fix it. They even come out and in the spring and check the AC, to make sure everything is good before its get really hot. In the fall, they will come out and check the heater to make sure its safe and working properly. I reccomend JS air, for your heat or air needs.

Horrible experience with JS Air technician today. JS Air was sent out to evaluate AC unit in a new house that we purchased. Was working in the house much of the weekend and noted that there was very poor air flow to upstairs bedrooms and that unit took most of the afternoon to cool house down to 78 degrees. Simple request was to evaluate AC unit and call me with a report. Technician Jason called me and what followed was an angry, aggressive, insulting, demeaning and one way conversation where he went on to tell me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my AC unit and to berate me - basically talking to me like I was a child. I could hardly get a sentence in to articulate my specific concerns to him. When I finally did convey my observations to him, he then agreed and told me that the system was poorly designed, and was working to its potential in a nutshell. Why the anger? I have dealt with many different professionals in my lifetime, and am in a customer service industry myself. I cannot believe how angry, aggressive, insulting, and demeaning this technician was to deal with. Frankly, if this is the type of service that is delivered on a routine basis.....this company is in trouble. I would never recommend this company to anyone based on my encounter with this technician. I will be following up with their office next week to leave a comment to their manager. You just cannot make this stuff up......unbelievable!
