Highly recommended!! Very professional, detail oriented, thorough, trustworthy, knowledgeable and received amazing customer service. Tom of HomePort Inspections was recommended to me by a friend. And I couldn't be happier with his report. Buying a home is stressful enough and the "What ifs" can really wear you down. Especially at the contract table. Tom's inspection was thorough but I also felt it was very fair. As did, the sellers and their realtor. This made it very easy for us to have realistic conversations about adjustments on the agreed price. When you treat people fairly they will treat you fairly. We hired HomePort Inspection based on a character reference of Tom. Actually brought him in to inspect my house before I sell it as I was fearful of many issues. Tom took the time to walk me through every aspect of my house, showing and educating me on what is an issue and what is not an issue.

Professional, competent, prompt and very thorough are just the first words that come to mind when thinking of the service Tom provided. He went through everything, gave me repair reccomendation, supplied contacts for work to be done and left me in a perfect, informed place to be able to sell my house.

Highly recommended. you will get more than your money's worth, I ended up with great peace of mind knowing that I got an informed, professional inspection that leaves me with exactly what I need to know. other inspectors I have had in the past (other houses) left me with more issues I had to unknowingly deal with. I feel just the opposite.

Tom and his dad were fantastic! My boyfriend and I were in the process of buying a house and decided not to purchase it after the inspection. They recommended we get an estimate for the repair of a huge retaining wall that would soon fail. We got the estimate from a contractor and it was close to $100,000 to repair !! We ended up buying another house that Tom and his dad inspected and we ended up buying. We LOVE this house even more ! Tom and his dad were a great team super knowledgeable, on time, allowed my boyfriends dad to follow along, and even fit us in last minute for the second inspection! My husband and I are in the process of selling our condo and buying a larger condo. It’s been a very busy few months and it’s been stressful at times as well. We needed to find an inspector to come and do an inspection on our new condo. I contacted Tom O’Dwyer at Home Port Inspections after being referred to him by a family friend. I called Tom and he was so pleasant over the phone and scheduled an inspection almost right away which was great because we needed one fairly quickly. The day of the inspection Tom arrived with his father/partner which was great because 2 sets of eyes are always better than just one. They explained everything that they would be doing and about how long it would take. They explained everything so that I understood exactly what they were talking about. I was able to follow them around the condo if I chose to and they were so gracious to show me different things in my condo that I may not have noticed on my own.
