At a very young age I learned the importance of saving my money in a bank account and gaining some interest on it. Although I knew that saving money was important, I had very limited knowledge regarding the concept of other safe money strategies. The agent Gilbert Peacock who handled my mother’s accounts is extremely unprofessional and lacks decorum. My mother recently passed away and instead of reaching out to me directly or looking me up to get in contact with me, he looks up where her memorial service was taking place and decides to contact the funeral home to leave a message for me to contact him in regards to my mother’s assets ON THE DAY of her memorial service. I reached out to one of the companies that this agent set her account up. They have my contact information and I'm sure that is how he was notified of her death. He could have asked for my contact information from the company. I wouldn’t have even cared if he reached out to me on social media at this point but the funeral home is UNACCEPTABLE ! That also cannot be ethical ! Along with letting strangers know she has assets the lack of empathy this agent has is unremarkable as I’m pretty sure he would not like if someone called the funeral of his deceased loved one looking to speak with him about business. If you are so concerned about not losing business you should act that way instead of showing how money hungry you are. There is a time and place for everything. I would have considered working with this agent but if this is how he conducts business i rather work with someone who has RESPECT for their clients and their families. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone because if this is how he represents the company i would hate to see how the other employees are.
