I have been using this service since my 2018 tax return. I originally visited the location and greeted by Amanda Martin, when they were Tax Axe, LLC. She was a delight to work with and very prompt. Then, David Mitchell Snyder, LLC took over the books, and the customer service has slipped. I believe Lory Fekete was my new point of contact, and the conversations seemed abrasive and condescending at times. Then someone else has taken over Lory's place, not sure her name. There has definitely been a shift though.

I followed up on my 2022 tax return and David answered phone and assisted me with my federal return of approx. $3000. He didn't seem to know what was going on, but looked into why I have not been issued my fed return yet, and he explained that it has not been processed yet. He mentioned someone did not take final step to complete process. He walked through with me on what was needed to complete a form for direct deposit and I completed. I asked that he communicate back to me that the form has been submitted, and he confirmed it was.

A few weeks go by and I follow up with the office because I have yet to receive return. Woman just told me the check is in the mail and I should receive in January. She confirmed that David never submitted form for direct deposit. This is beyond frustrating, not because there is going to be a delay on my refund, but because David confirmed that he submitted form, when in reality he did not.

As a customer, I paid $495 for these services, and do not feel the welcoming experience with the people I hired to work on my finances/taxes. As a customer, I will be removing myself from their books and will shop around for my 2023 taxes. Whether I paid $50 or $1,000 for services, all customers should feel comfort with their finance ally.
