Was nice on the phone and decided to use him. He asked all basic information over the phone and quoted us $150. We went in and he charges us an extra $100 at the end because of having to do an extra step because we are home owners and bought a roof.
Fast forward to weeks later, we get out return and its WAY less than what we were told it was going to be.( thousands less) I asked him why this was and he said that me and him husband both misunderstood what he said and that we were not told we were getting that back. I told him that he did say that and he got kind of loud on the phone, partially disrespectful and continued getting louder. We got off the phone and about 20 minutes later he called me back, I was right. Apparently there was a “ glitch” in the system and when he submitted it, my information for school had messed up so it did not give me that credit. He said I was right and apologized. Said he would be mailing us a giftcard and that we should have the refund in some weeks as he now had to amended our return.
Fast forward to 2 weeks ago( a month after filing amended return) I called him to ask for help with return info as it would not let me look online. He gave me the information and it said up to 16 weeks and he said “ Ya, if thats what it says” I said okay and asked about the gift card and was verifying our address as we had not received it and he said it was on his priority list and he had another client so he had to go.
We felt confident using him and our first year not doing our taxes ourselves but we wanted to make sure it was done correctly. Even referred 2 people to him after our initial visit.. hope they didn't get a messes up return. Will not be using him again.

Update: The owner reached out to me after making this post stating he was sorry for not being able To mail the gift card as his schedule has been hectic. Told me if I wanted to come pick up $100 gift card it would be ready for me in the office and delete my review.
