In October of 2016 my wife and I decided it was time to invest in real estate/business for the very first time. We had saved a significant amount of cash and were truly ready to invest in a business she could manage rather then returning to work after maternity leave. We began the process with intentions of SBA type loan, seller failed to mention his business or the real estate already had such type loans so we were unable to proceed with it. Seller then offered to carry the loan under circumstances which were totally ridiculous, we said no obviously, the scamming began. Seller threatened us into buying the business or else we wouldn't be in "good faith" or we were "contractually obliged " to make the purchase or else we would not be refunded our deposit. Immediately, we contacted Simon and he asked us to forward all real estate documents. Within a week of reviewing and gathering information, he contacted the seller and read estate broker and notified them of all the violations they had committed. Simon was able to get us a full refund of the deposit within in a few weeks. Simon went above and beyond to report this matter to the real estate board even after the issue had been resolved. After this experience we are afraid to pursue any other business opportunities; but Simon assured us, when ready, he would be involved from the very beginning and protect us from any scam. Thanks Simon, we truly appreciate your time and efforts in getting our hard earned money back!
