This company was recommended to me after my tax preparer filed an incorrect return and then abandoned me after months of literally begging her at times to correct the issue which caused the IRS to believe we owed them several thousand dollars.

I called several area tax professionals who either did not have time to help, did not respond to messages, or were outright rude.

I am extremely disappointed with the late tax filing, and doubled pricing from last year, at BQ Tax & Accounting! I submitted the tax paperwork for our small organization on 1/24/2023 and BQ completed the taxes on 7/12/2023! I am now being told that we will owe NYS and Federal penalties for late filing (in addition to the 100% price increase)! UNBELIEVABLE! Sorry, but I am no longer confident in the work from BQ Tax & Accounting!

Getting your tax return prepared can be a nerve wracking experience. This was not the case at BQ. The friendly and professional staff put me at ease the moment I walked through the door. I had asked for a quote. Then I get a call that they were done (without a quote). Then they said they were unable to give a quote without seeing previous years returns. That should have been the first clue. Don't own a home, no itemized deductions, 2 W-2s, nothing else. Very straight forward. $290 for that? Never again will I go to them and I won't recommend them to anyone.

I had the worst experience with this company. They did not communicate well and the person I spoke to over the phone was very rude her name is Amber. It was my first time doing taxes in the US and this company was recommended to me by the company I work for. I was so disappointed with their service. First I had to keep calling cause I wasn’t sure of the process. They filed an extension of my return because of missing documents that I was not made aware of. When I got upset over this fact, Amber became very defensive telling me I wasn’t her fault. Then when everything was finally done they charged me an extra fee that I wasn’t aware of. I started my tax return with them in February and my taxes were finally filed in June. If you are new to taxes stay away from this company. It will not be a smooth process for you.
