We finally made it here for breakfast, very convenient & quaint local cafe! The staff was friendly and attentive, offering us coffee/tea refills continually served up with a little convo. We liked how quiet and peaceful it was. Mostly seniors like us at tables. The cafe is clean but needs some updates, like the worn & torn carpet, and art and color on the walls would really help brighten it (clearly decorated by a guy lol) Food: dh got his usual veggie omelet, nice fresh avocado on top, and hash browns - all standard fare. I ordered the "blintzes" but found it disappointing as they make basic pancakes and fill them with cream cheese; the mixed berry topping was sparse and soggy, in a thin syrup. Server added a dish of whip cream which I appreciated--but these were not blintzes in any way. I'd not order them again but would return to try another dish.

Food is good.
Service is poor. Waiters are not attentive at all. When placing your order make sure they wrote it down correct, then make sure they fulfill it the way you asked. After 30 minutes of waiting your order will be ready but not the way you asked?
Do not worry, there is a grocery store around the corner ?

Great service and amazing food!! It’s a winning combination. We enjoyed senior breakfasts either perfectly cooked eggs and sausage patties and awesome specialty pancakes. One had the cinnamon roll pancake and the other had the carrot cake pancake. Both were as delicious as they sound.

This place has been here 15 years and I'm just now hearing about it. Well, so glad I know now. Went for breakfast but can order anything off the menu. They also serve lunch and close at 2. I ordered poached eggs with an English muffin and hash browns. My poached eggs were cooked PERFECTLY. They won me over right there but all the food was really good. HUGE MENU FRIENDLY STAFF QUICK SERVICE.

The AirBnB I stayed at in Grand junction had a book of recommended restaurants, Berna’s was one of the places at the top of the list. The ambiance of the restaurant seemed like a cozy spot for regulars. I ordered the Blintzi and my partner ordered the Eggs Benedict. Turns out, our server (who was amazing, friendly, and energetic) was the one who added the Blintzi to the menu. They use their pancake batter and fill the Blintzi with cream cheese, and the flavor composition with the fresh berry jam just hits the spot. Takes me back to the days of my Babushka making me breakfast ? My partner LOVED her eggs Benedict, and said it was probably the best she’s ever had, cooked to perfection. If this wasn’t 4 hours away right now, I’d be going back tomorrow ?

My friend and I who were on a road trip were heading to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and looking for breakfast before heading out. After doing a search, we came upon Berna B’s and after reading reviews, decided to give this restaurant a try.
I ordered the corned beef hash with eggs sunny side up. The food was made to order and was delicious. The servings were generous to the price making me leave full and happy.
The restaurant is on the small side but the wait if you have to do so is worth it. Staff were friendly and helped with recommendations for our day. Definitely worth coming back to when I am back in Grand Junction.

The food was delicious as usual. It was a Sunday brunch time visit, and this small restaurant was crowded. One of the servers or kitchen staff was delivering food to a table close to us and spilled bacon grease on my coat. Thankfully I was able to wash it out.

Went there today (10/4/24). Got seated right away. Brought our coffee, took our order. Waited 45 to 50 minutes, never received our food. People who came in after us received their food before us. Never had wait person come back to our table. We got up and left and went somewhere else to eat. Have never had this happen before!
