An overnight trip through Darien and we searched out and got recommendations from our hotel front desk clerk on this place. Frequented by the locals, this place was quite busy. Overheard multiple menu items being out, most likely due to the popularity and busyness of the place. Food is quite delicious, although communication was poor on why the food was taking so long to arrive to the table. My mother received her meal 10 minutes before I did and then was informed why my selection would take longer. It was worth the wait, but better communication was warranted.

Just moved to Darien, first time here. Awesome restaurant right in town which is very popular with the locals. Service incredibly friendly and professional, I ordered the chicken Parmesan and NY strip dinners with pasta, salad, baked potato and salad. Excellent meals at reasonable prices. I heard the pizza is excellent. My short time there I spoke with some great people. Big thanks!

I’ll start with the food. I highly recommend the steak and fried shrimp. The staff were all so friendly and bent over backwards for you. The other dinners were very friendly as well.

Good place to eat! We had lunch, ordered from the menu. Did not have to wait too long for the food to be served and it was a good temperature. I would definitely eat here again ?

If you are hankering for a good tender flavorful steak, you will be doing yourself a disservice not going here. I had the surf and turf. 8 oz. NY strip and fried shrimp (offered grilled, blackened or boiled as well). Usually you get 6-8 shrimp. I got a mountain of the best shrimp I've ever had. Very lightly coated and tender. The steak was delicious . You DO NOT need steak sauce! If you put sauce on these steaks you're committing a crime. Service was excellent. Quaint atmosphere. Look this place up for other menu offerings.

Visited for lunch and loved it. We both had the buffet. Enjoyed fried chicken, pulled pork, greens, green beans, salad bar. All were great! Desserts were great too. Service was friendly- all the locals were there. We waddled out of the restaurant for $12 each. Unbelievable low price.

We were on a road trip and stopped in for lunch. This place is very pricey but it smelled good when I entered so I ordered anyway. That food is worth every dime. That fish sandwich was seasoned perfectly and the crunch on the crust was everything! They give you LARGE portions. The food was prepared fresh and given to me hot. If I lived closer I’d be a regular! They offer a buffet if you have time to spend with them.

The real deal.

We were down from Atlanta after a few days near Jacksonville and Brunswick. We wanted some fresh seafood on the way out. Did a little Google searching and found this place off of I-95.

After days of searching for a place like this, we finally found it. It's where the locals go. It wasn't cheap but we got a basket of peel and eat, and a basket of black and shrimp. Omg.

So damn good. Soooo good.
