I am moving out of my lease at Ascend right now and they have been a fantastic management company for myself and my roommate.

We called maintenance for a water leak and they responded the same day and the handyman was very respectful and even repaired our broken door while he was there.

They sent someone to shovel our stairs whenever it snowed and blow the dirt out of the walkways during the summers.

I also filed a complaint for a very noisy neighbor (2:00am loud speakers every day for a week) and they were very accommodating and helpful. I could tell they cared about my experience at their rental.

They’re always very responsive, kind, and helpful. I’ve never found them to be litigious or greedy. Really everything you want out of a landlord/landlady. They told me this company is under new ownership which makes sense given all the bad reviews here, I can’t relate to any of the troubles these people have had. 100% would recommend.

Been reading more reviews and can absolutely confirm that there is no office And I have never had a phone call not returned within the day. I think google is tweaking out on this business. The location is shown in the middle of a road. Just give them a call and talk to them and you’ll see they’re not some greedy weirdos like these folks are saying!!

Just about to finish out a lease with Ascend and honestly have had a great experience. Katherine on the team is super nice and helpful! All our maintenance request were dealt with quickly, and we never had any issues! Found everyone to be very nice and really enjoyed living here.

I bought a house with 4 months left on my lease. They said if I could find someone to take over my lease, they would let me have my security deposit back. I found them someone but without telling me they changed the lease conditions: it would have to be a 12 month lease with a 20% rent increase. Obviously my renter turned away. Ascent took my security deposit.

Fast forward OVER A YEAR LATER and I get a bill from them for almost a grand? Itemized for problems that were not my fault. I told them that, and didn't hear anything else. Until ONE MORE YEAR LATER where I get a letter from a debt collector about the problem.

I had no heat for days in the middle of winter and didn't complain. I worked with them to figure it out. I cleaned up the property, left it better than when I was there. And the way they treat someone trying to be fair: come up with bogus problems, minimize communication, then make a few bucks off of selling fake debt to a collector.

I cannot come up with words strong enough to discourage you from renting from these slum lords.

The new office is definitely an upgrade. Elena is super nice, she gets 5 stars from me. Less stars because my rent has increased so much over 5 yrs. What I like most about my place is the huge kitchen and great view of Apex Park

DO NOT RENT FROM ASCEND The office staff is some of the most unprofessional and disorganized people that I have ever dealt with. They won't answer the phones in the middle of a weekday for days on end. The property that I was in was also just atrocious quality-wise. Their maintenance staff was also very problematic, one time they installed a new fridge and them left all of my refrigerated/frozen food outside of the fridge and I came home a day later to it all spoiled. If anyone is thinking that it might be worth it to rent from them IT IS NOT. RUN AWAY WHILE YOU STILL HAVE HOPE. They can't even go through their mail and realize that they sent stuff to the wrong address and that is has since been returned to sender.

The worst experience ever with a property management company. Do not rent from them. We rented an apartment for our college daughter and had to move her out early. They did not return our full deposit even though we paid faithfully and on time every month and left the apartment in better condition then when we leased it. We still may take them to court. They are very unprofessional. Beware.
I would give minus stars if that was possible.

Update: Katherine has called to reconsider charges taken out of our security deposit. She was very professional and courteous. I would still be careful and have everything in writing if you rent from them but feel they did reach out so that is important.

I'm with the majority in saying this is the worst property managements i have ever dealt with. Maintenace is a joke i went without a stove for a week and when we got a stove it didn't work then Management said: "well you could have asked for a hot plate."
the doors front and back were both absolutely busted in asked them to fix that they covered it with paint and a few spots with wood fill. i requested a termination of lease they evicted my dog right after. They entered without notification; they entered the property after i requested them not too. they increased rent for Maintenace purposes, and they still didn't do S*** about anything we requested on. The older gentleman has requested help from Maintenace they do not respond to anyone's requests. All in all do yourself a massive favor and DO NOT RENT FROM ASCEND

Can't post a 0 star review so i guess 1 will do. Money hungry con artists! Our rent was increased every few months for a mouse infested apartment that they won't come fix! (Garbage disposal, deadbolt, shower drain etc.) Don't give these pimps your money!

AND ON TOP OF THAT, I moved out in September of 2017 with a lease ending in February. I continued to get messages about late rent and such- fine, I get that, I was still on the lease and the new tenants weren't on top of it. But now, it's MAY!!! I've been off the lease for 3 months, and I'm getting threats of eviction? It makes me wonder-

did they forge my signature and resign the lease with me still on it? Or are they so incompetent that this leasing agency can't read a lease? Either way, don't bother with these people, they're dishonest and have awful accommodations. Looking forward to getting an eviction on a lease I'm not on and an apartment I haven't lived in for 8 months.
