Unprofessional and Unresponsive

I have had a terrible experience with this firm. After trying to reach them since last week with no response, I finally decided to visit their office in person. When I arrived, I was informed that the boss, Serge, was on vacation. There was no email notice about this, nor was it mentioned in the voicemail, which shows a complete lack of organization and communication on their part.

I spoke with two very nice people in the office and they asked me to wait until next week when Serge would be back. Shortly after I left the office, Serge called me (likely after his staff informed him of my visit), and his attitude was shockingly rude and condescending. I explained what I needed, and instead of offering a solution, he told me I would have to follow up with him once he returned because he wouldn't remember to call me.

Furthermore, when I mentioned what I was told at the building department—that I only needed a certification, not the entire plan—he arrogantly stated that his firm is in the business of drawing up full plans and charging for them, not just certifying. He even went as far as to say that if I already had the plans, I’d need to go to school for six years to get licensed to sign off on them.

What shocked me the most is that I have worked with Serge before, years ago, when he handled all the plans for our home renovations after we bought our house. Back then, the process was always smooth and pleasant, which is why I didn't expect him to be this rude.

This experience was incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of time. I would strongly advise against using this firm if you expect any level of professionalism, communication, or respect.
