If you are reading this and need help no matter what your situation is, please do yourself a favor and start with a simple call to Catherine Vance. I was dealing with a DV case as the victim and up against another lawyer on my own. I reached out to Mrs. Vance with limited resources and bless Mrs. Vance heart, she helped me write a brief for my case that the Judge asked both party to write to argue their case for a vital decision in regards to grant a continuation of a protection order. Together both of us were able to put my DV case behind me and I was able to get everything I needed and wanted out of the case with Mrs. Vance assistance witting this brief on my behalf. This is being spoken from a person who living on social security income who thought no one with legal experience would even give me the time or day with my income level. Mrs. Vance truly works magic, she truly cares, and she is truly affordable even for lower income level people such as myself.

Terrible court appointed attorney. She made decisions for my children that negatively impact them to this day without taking the time to actually get to know them. She allowed them to be put in the hands of a emotional abuser. Stay far away from her and request a different attorney if the court appoints her. She was also not available and often ignored phone calls. She would also try to talk down to me since she felt she was in a position of control.

Catherine most definitely does know me and how she negligently handled my case. If anyone is seeking proof I can provide it. Just contact me. I wish I could give less than one star.

Catherine is nothing short of a miracle worker! I needed help and fast for my custody case and she stepped right in. Despite losing her Law Office in the Fire, she continues to work hard helping People from the Ridge, and her Community. When my Spouse decided He should walk away with everything we had acquired after the Fire, Catherine agreed to help with my Case.
Ms. Vance was precise, paid attention to detail, and stayed on top of everything. Never having been in a Legal battle, I had no idea what I was doing, but she did, and she kept me apprised of everything happening along the way. Firstly I would like to address the reason for my google review, which is the fact that I chose this lawyer based on her reviews which were all positive. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. I am not one to bring someone down but felt this was necessary to save others. Catherine Vance talked a big game and NEVER delivered. The worst part being she took EVERYTHING we wrote and rewrote it in her own words, as if they were her own experiences! Changed our statement of facts completely to the point we were labeled liars! She DID NOT show up to a court hearing after we told her we refused to let the other party “appear” for us. Apparently she thought “what’s the worst that could happen” and didn’t show. Guess what, THE WORST HAPPENED. She derailed our case and to try and make up for it took the case back to court for us at no charge. This time I asked Mrs. Vance “please do not change our statement of facts, if you have something you think should be changed just let us review it first” she agreed. However she took it upon herself to once again change EVERYTHING we wrote into her own words, misspelling constantly, and many run on sentences. At one point she rewrote an entire paragraph into her own words and then forgot to delete my original paragraph. I was HORRIFIED, embarrassed that something so sloppy was submitted on our behalf. Save your money and time, we fired her immediately and had the case vacated. Had to start over yet again with another lawyer.
