Took my tranny to basic power. The mechanic named jim did a great job on the rebuild I put it back in my boat and it runs smooth as silk. I read other reviews from people and I don’t think they must have ordered the right part and they are saying they got sent the wrong one. These people know what you’re talking about sometimes crap happens and they might have sent you a wrong part but all in all I would Recommend this place to everyone thanks for a good job

Excellent knowledge and service. I bought a new Hurth ZF 45A for a repower; we picked it up the morning after I called and they made sure we had the coupling and other things all correct. Over the phone Sam was great with answering all of my questions both before and after installation.

They're old school dudes that know more than anyone I've ever met.

Sent me a part from a different manufacturer than listed on their site. There was no label on the part from the brand I ordered from, but there was a made in Taiwan sticker- problem is the brand that I ordered is only made in the US. Would not refund me or send a shipping label to return it. Had to dispute with my credit card company.

Can’t say enough good about these folks. Broke a flange on one of my Perkins fuel injectors. My last resort was to order it from England. Was talking to a local gentleman at our marina and he recommended Basic Power. Went to see them and they had the flange off an old injector. Great service, great price. Can’t say enough good about them.

Had great customer service over the phone. They helped cross reference a manifold and riser set that was in stock. Parts shipped the following day after purchase. Components were professionally packaged and arrived ahead of expected delivery date. Kit had everything needed and no issues installing.

I made the mistake of ordering from Basic Power before looking into this business. I got caught up in there web of deceptive practices. They sent me the wrong part. I called them and requested the correct part; the part they had listed on their website. I was told they don't have the part because the company that makes the part is no longer in business. I asked why then do you have it listed as available on their website. He immediately hung up on me. It was a bait and switch tactic. I had to go to PayPal and make a dispute on the payment. Eventually I receive a refund and purchased the part elsewhere. I don't advise doing business with this company. Steer Clear of this deceptive business. I would have left '0' stars if I could.

Basic Power Industies is an outstanding resourse for maritime propulsion machinery. They had in stock exactly what I needed to rebuild my ancient Hurth HBW-100 sailboat auxiliary transmission. I'm no expert but love messing with machines! I mangled two parts of the BPI kit and they promptly supplied replacements. Unbeatable service and professionalism. Excellent website too! Horrible service and unwilling to admit their error. I ordered a rebuild kit for my lower unit referencing the chart they provided on the website to order the correct seals. I received the package really quickly but after I opened it up and started the rebuild process I found that the seals were incorrect. I measured them and provided that information to the representative and they told me that I ordered the wrong kit. I immediately went to the website and screen shot the matrix for choosing the correct kits for your engine and sent a second email with the attachment showing that I ordered the correct item. They continued to blame me for ordering the wrong one and when I went to the website a few days later they no longer had the list of compatible kits for engines posted. I assume that they would have just sent me the correct seals to resolve this issue but I haven't received a reply to my last email I sent over 2 weeks ago. WARNING be cautious if using this business. I would not recommend them, go to a different company when possible
