Michael is very knowledgeable and has good relationships with the county which is a HUGE Benefit. It is worth paying a little more for that alone since everything needs to be approved by the county. Got nowhere for three years with continual septic issues...tank pumped 13 times over 3 years, Terralift completed with little change, redirected downspout runoff beyond septic field. Without our knowing how to diagnose or proceed with a fix, our problems dragged on and on. Finally was referred to Michael Athanas and the solution to our septic problem was very quickly resolved. Get all pricing up front and in writing. They like to surprise you with extra undisclosed or undiscussed costs at the end. Call the County yourself and get educated on costs before calling them. The sad part is they do good work but are not transparent with all fees.

Can't say enough good things. I reached out when we needed a new septic permit because we decided to move the build location on our land. We already had a site identified from when we purchased the land but there were going to be challenges requiring a pump-based septic system. A couple of people said they didn't know if any other areas would work. Given the size of the land I felt like there had to be other options. I worked with Valerie to contract for the soil testing to see if other viable areas existed. Scott came on-site and after testing found two other areas that would work. I then contracted to have Scott design the system and do the permitting. Today we received our septic permit. Comparing my experience with Scott and Valerie with the prior experience where I went with the soil tests from the land purchase and tried to do the septic permit application process myself, I can honestly say I'd never do it myself again. Having professionals working with you on something like this is invaluable. Thanks so much for all of your help.

Spoke with Michael last Friday and discussed in detail a project and price. He told me to email with the parcel info and a quick summary so he could write it up and could have the job done in about 2 weeks.
Fast forward to Wednesday and he emailed me back and said he "did not remember" what we talked about and needed my number to chat.
After providing my number and no call or response to voice-mail for 2 days, I received an email today that the job can in fact not be completed despite saying it could be originally.

I can now receive no response via phone or text despite the fact he said he was in the office today.
Don't waste a week of your timeline waiting for nothing to be done.
