I would give Alliance Consulting, Scott Garera and all of his staff "0 STARS" if this was possible! I have dealt with them over 5 years and was actually told by my mother that he worked very well with his clients. I have to say, in the beginning, things were good. He did good things for me as a business owner as far as taxes. A few years into working with Alliance, my mother, also a businesswoman, started noticing a decline in service, contact and following up on things. She was receiving many calls from her clients to which she had also referred to Alliance Consulting that things were not being handled well and there was much concern. My mother moved her business elsewhere and I reluctantly decided to stay. HUGE MISTAKE!! Fast forward to January of 2024, I received a letter from the IRS stating they needed information for my 2021 tax returns. 2021 was a huge year for me, starting a new salon with buildout, furniture, etc., therefore we had a lot of expenses. I consulted with Scott, who assured me there was nothing to worry about, it was just from having a large loss from the new salon. I provided information to Scott that was requested and he in turn worked directly with the IRS to assure needs were met. February, 2024, I received another letter from the IRS wanting more information. I called Scott and he told me he would send everything over they were asking for. Now, a 3rd letter comes from the IRS requesting past items and MORE! Alliance quickly made up a quickbooks balance sheet that did not even balance with my tax return and guess what this did....yet ANOTHER letter from the IRS. Keep in mind, this should have been very simple, providing items requested the first time had been timely and correctly provided. Upon receiving the 3rd letter, I called and emailed the office in frustration to gather all of my paperwork and I would be by to pick up. I never heard a response, even tried texting Scott, to find I was blocked! My mom and I went the next morning to his office to take to a new accountant. Surprisingly things were together in an envelope on the corner of Jess's desk. Not so pleasantly greeted, I proceeded to ask about my payroll, which his company has also done for the last 4 years, to be informed that they wouldn't be doing payroll for this week and we are 2 days away! Now I am stuck figuring out quarterly taxes, etc amongst dealing with this IRS mess! My new accountant and I called the IRS to find out that they were being told it was me not providing the information they needed to get things to them. I can not tell you the calls/emails/text that have been sent to Alliance up to the minute of the deadline with no communication! I am on top of things, have all my paperwork always ready and to hear this, I was beyond mad!! What was what I felt once a good firm has turned into the most unprofessional, unproductive, unorganized office I have ever experienced. I am not sure if this started from all of the referrals that have been given or what but it seems they need to backtrack and get it together before others are in the same position as I am. I am happy to say we have found a new accounting firm that is very organized and stays in contact with me, which is what any business owner needs.

Scott and his team are very unprofessional. My initial interaction was good until I received my return and realized he made several mistakes on it. Scott processed the entire return and never showed me any paperwork until after the return was already filed and I received the return in the mail.

When I reached out about it I was blown off for several days. Him and his secretary Jess Manning both did this. When I finally got in contact with him he amended my return and made additional mistakes that I now have to amend for a second time.
