I just had the most awesome experience! I called Outer Banks Computer Repair because I had used them before for phone and computer problems in the past and they were so nice. Tim answered the phone. I asked if their business had people who came to homes to help with installatiion of new printers. He said they did not, but he asked me if I was close to the computer and printer, and as luck would have it, I was sitting in front of them both. He took the time to walk me through the process of getting rid of the current installation of my printer to my computer (I told him that my sister and I had tried to install the printer and it was not working properly, so I had to uninstall my printer. He walked me through that process). He then took the time to guide me through the process of reinstalling the printer so that it was connected CORRECTLY to my computer. It took a long time, because I am not too good with computers, directions, etc. He was patient and kind and by the time we were finished, my printer was installed on my computer. He even took the time to make sure my new printer worked properly. I pulled up what I had been trying to print, and it works perfectly!

He spent about 45 minutes to help me do this. It was around closing time, so I was not sure anyone would answer at all. I told him that I would like to pay him for helping me, but he refused any money. I was impressed when I had taken other things to be repaired there, but never in my wildest dreams did I expect that someone would take the time to help me do this on the phone.

Tim and his team are excellent. We've had them work on 3 computers so far (more on the way). They're super knowledgeable, do great work, turn it around quickly, and are very reasonably priced. As an added bonus for us, Tim and several of his team members have backgrounds in digital music - and they've helped us set up software and hardware for digital music creation.

OBCR really saved the day and helped me avoid a two hour trip up the coast to a big box store. Thankfully they had what I needed to stay powered up so I could complete a few remote work days while visiting OBX. They really believe in helping people.

My sister in law got caught in the rain on the way back from the beach with her iPhone - we put it in rice overnight and the bottom half of the screen wasn't responding. The front screen had been cracked and we were afraid it might be irreparable.

OBCR were amazing; they responded to the online message promptly, gave different options to fix it, provided estimates and updates.

The phone is working perfectly and they charged a fair price. So appreciated during our family vacation!

These guys are AWESOME!!!!!!
Quaid and the owners are real great at something that doesn’t exist anymore….Customer Service ! They wrote the book on it. Can’t thank you guys enough for helping me download a super tricky long file from a video camera . Within 20 min he did his research downloaded it to my Mac and sent me on my way. Absolutely don’t bother going anywhere else. Clean professional super organized store! If I could give them 10 stars I would. Like I said don’t bother going anywhere else. Thank you guys you ROCK!!!!!!!

I thought the speaker to my phone broke when I dropped it. Took it to these guys (not my first time taking electronics to them!) & they had it fixed within 2 hours. Wasn't the speaker but a board it attached to. They had a dead version of my phone, swapped the piece out of it & for less than $50 my phone was fixed! So glad it was something easy. That's why I trust these guys with my phones and computers - because they do a great job without ripping you off! Thanks
