Lisa is very unprofessional, and Daniel makes big mistakes. I signed a POA for them to represent me for a joint tax return amendment with my ex-husband and communicate with the IRS. They did NOT hold up their end of the POA agreement. When it came near the time for my originally scheduled call with the IRS, they told me they faxed in paperwork for an extension, and they would do it for me at a later date. However, I still got a call from the IRS on the original date and was told if I did not do the call, the amendment would automatically be rejected, and I would be denied a substantial amount of money owed to me. So, I did the call myself, unsure and unprepared. And I asked the IRS agent about the faxed extension request; he said he never received it. He asked what number it was faxed to, and I gave him the number Daniel sent me with a confirmation of the fax. Daniel sent the request to the WRONG NUMBER. So, again, I had to do the call myself. At that point, the POA agreement was broken by ABC. I made it clear to them that the extension they attempted to request on my behalf was sent to the wrong IRS number and I had taken care of the call myself and would take care of my own paperwork. Over the next few days, I spent hours gathering documents and sending them to the IRS agent on my own behalf. ABC never did ANY services for me, they actually caused me to have to do a call with the IRS completely unprepared. They completely dropped the ball and left me in an incredibly stressful situation. My ex-husband had hired them to do yet another amendment on that same joint return (from when we were married). One day I received a call from Lisa’s office telling me I had to come to their office within two hours and sign the amended return she prepared for my ex. They told me if was due THAT DAT by 5:00 pm. I am critically ill and still in recovery and was on heavy medications, so I was unable to drive or make any important decisions. When I told them that, Lisa screamed at me about how she was doing me such a favor and then hung up on me. She was NOT doing anything for me. She was hired by my ex and my signature was required since it was a joint return. I called a family member who left in the middle of their workday to rush and pick me up to go to their office. I was not in any condition to sign a legal document, I was being threatened and forced to do something I was unsure of. I asked Daniel to explain to me what they were asking me to sign, and he said he didn’t know and couldn’t tell me, that I just needed to sign it or I would not get my large refund. So, under duress and heavily medicated, I was required to sign that document at a moment’s notice since the old return was joint. This was coming from a business hired by my ex, who I am NOT on good terms with. I signed the document. Due to MY CALL and information, I sent the IRS, I did receive my 50% of the amended return. And due to ABC that my ex hired, he received his 50% also. Now they have sent me a bill for $2500.00, 10% of the TOTAL refund to my ex and me. If we did jointly hire them, I would be responsible for half that bill, however, the POA I signed with them was broken by their incompetence and I represented myself. DO NOT trust Lisa, she acts as if she is unstable and irrational, and Daniel can't even send a fax to the IRS correctly.

Lisa McDonald is an amazing person and has the answers. My taxes were done efficiently and accurately in short order. And Ben is an added benefit to visiting her office. He's a great addition to the team. Taxes can be so stressful and he lightens the mood with his words, whistles and laser noises. 😄
