If I could leave all stars blank I would. The customer service is the absolute worst and extremely unprofessional. I received a letter on 11/23/2020 stating there were two payroll checks I never received from the year 2018. I promptly sent back all information they requested to claim said monies. I called three times in December after not hearing anything, and I was told that the checks would be sent out in January of 2021. I called today, 02/19/2021 because the checks still have not been received and was told that someone within the company accidently sent all checks that were supposed to be mailed out in to the state. She (Brenda) then proceeded to say " I am not trying to be snarky to you, but it was money that you didn't know was missing." That is completely irrelevant in this situation and something that should have never been said. They dropped the ball on this and their response is unacceptable. After going back and forth for four months, and reading other reviews, I now see why they have a 1.8 rating on the web.

This company has owed my elderly mother over $1630 for 12 months. At first I was told that it could take the insurance company "up to a year" to pay" the $$495.04 that wasn't already paid. I requested once a month for them to refund the other $1130 and change and they told me they would, but never did. One month ago, I received an EOB for the 495.04 that was completely covered (note that this was on March 26, with a statement date of March 31st). I called the facility since Choice has NO CONTACT INFORMATION FOR THE PARENT COMPANY - THE ONE THAT CONTROLS THE MONEY. They stated that they could see the insurance payment and a refund would be issued within 30 days "because they don't like to see refunds". They requested a copy of my mother's power of attorney and healthcare power of attorney and I sent it to them, and called to make sure they had it. Today, April 29th, I called the facility again, by the way, it's Universal Healthcare of Fuquay Varina, and was told "oh OK I will go ahead and submit the request". I asked why a request was necessary as obviously I have a statement from Choice with the balance they owe my mother and was told that it's just the process. I asked for the corporate number 3 times in this phone call and was deflected until I got nasty with them and threatened to complain to the state about their fiduciary responsibility and at that point I was given a number and a name. I asked the title and was told it was a biller. I said I wanted the name of an accountant or manager, and was told that she didn't know the name. I asked exactly where this corp headquarters was and was told she "thought it was in Oxford". I called the number she gave me for a biller and was told that they would have to call the person I spoke to at universal Fuquay to have her submit a request? I asked why when my mother's statement clearly showed they owed a refund and was told that "that's just our process". That was just before I started writing this review and while I've been typing it , Universal Fuquay business office called me and asked where the refund should be mailed. I reminded her that I had given this information to her a month ago, and had sent her the power of attorney and healthcare power of attorney. These companies take advantage of the elderly and their traumatized families by putting them off and hanging on to their money for as long as possible. I fully intend to report them to the state, and when I told them that today I actually got 2 phone calls back - first time in A YEAR.

The compassion from this facility when my mother died was appalling. Now I've been trying to get a refund on her personal care account for 2 years. They can send me a statement with a credit balance but not a refund check.

do not let them care for your loved ones. google choice health management nurse abuse their nurses abused a man with a stroke. absolutely disgusting. whoever managed and hired these cruel people as nurses to begin with should also be fired. they claim that this was "an isolated incident" PLEASE. the public isn't stupid. shame on you!!!!
