Tristan did a wonderful job with my elderly mother's home. Sometimes less is more! She had another company come to her home to inspect her basement system and they told her she had horrible structural cracks and needed to have them remediated at the price of $45K. I told her I wanted a second opinion and called TMS Engineering. Tristan was very helpful and scheduled a visit to do an inspection right away. He reported that she really didn't need any remediation at this time. What a breath of fresh air!! A company that doesn't take advantage of people. Thank you, Tristan, from me and my mother.

After fruitlessly waiting on our original engineer for several months past the promised completion date we found and engaged TMS Engineering to perform the structural engineering on our relatively complicated expansion for our Banner Elk house. Not only did Tristan complete our engineering in less than 3 weeks (he knew we had been delayed and that we were behind schedule by more than a month already), he was constantly engaging with our builder and designer to insure everyone was on the same page. His pricing was also fair and as he projected at the beginning of the process.
I can and do unequivocally recommend TMS for engineering services. His professionalism and expertise is much needed and welcomed here in the High Country.

I went under contract on a house in Sugar Grove and there was a need for a structural inspection to be performed. After reviewing a few engineers in the area, I decided to go with Tristan as he was extremely responsive returning my phone call within a few hours. He came out and performed the inspection in a week and had the report over in a few days. Tristan was extremely thorough and detailed and his report helped us negotiate with the sellers. Tristan also was affordable and did not charge the overhead that some of the other engineering companies were trying to impose. I highly recommend Tristan for your structural needs in the High Country!!
