536 West 142rd - The apartment wasn't finished when we moved in despite being assured that it would be - it took 3 weeks and numerous calls for them to finally do something about the unfinished work. All the apartments on my floor have MICE and one of my neighbors leaves garbage rotting in the hallway for over a week at a time. Save yourself. 2 stars because the apartment is pretty and gets good light.

Have been without HOT WATER 9 times and HEAT 3 days so far, in the dead of winter, and we only moved in 3 months ago (mid-Oct). They pretend it's some issue we are causing or that is unique to us, when all of our neighbors have the same problem. When we point that out, they go quiet. Other more minor problems include that the front door to the building is, strangely, broken into every month or so. The fire alarm in the stairwell has been chirping for weeks -- probably a malfunction or dead/dying battery. A parcel of my mail went missing around Christmas. So far, the worst experience I've had with a building or landlord.

My dealings with (RH Management) and Empire Holdings were horrible I don't know where one company ends and the other begins, because they are both horrible liars. Carmelina is the brains behind the whole twisted tales they weave about tenants, one minute she claims she works for Empire and can't help with RH Management issues, at least that's what I was told when it was time to end my least and receive my deposit. And then come to find out 1 month later she is working for RH Management and claims she never spoke to me. Never have dealings with these company's get everything in writing and never trust what they say because obviously if they don't know which company they're working for, they can't possibly help anyone with their personal issues.(Thank you crooks and liars for keeping my hard earn money(my deposit) I get to support my kids, now we have to be homeless because you obviously don't know what you're doing to people.)

If I could give 0 stars I would. I reported that my roommate was breaking the lease terms and I wanted to break the lease. They wouldnt allow this, so I moved out and rent continued to be paid. They said even though I was moving out, we were both on the lease. Now, 5 days before our lease is up (I moved out 3 weeks into my lease) they say they dont know whether my "roommate" is renewing or not so they dont know the status of my deposit... WHAT?! that has nothing to do with me, Im not renewing.
Also, so slow to return emails, dont answer phone calls, just horrible people if you actually have a real issue.

ALL OF THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE FAKE REVIEWS PEOPLE. RH MANAGEMENT SERVICES ARE THE WORST! I'VE BEEN LIVING IN MY APARTMENT FOR OVER A YEAR AND THEY HAVE YET TO FIX THE LEAKING CEILING IN MY BATHROOM! IT HAS MOLD IN IT AS WELL & I HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO IT WHICH RESULTED IN HOSPITAL VISITS. WE ARE NOW TAKING ACTION WITH OUR LAWYER.

hot water and heat sucks!!!!!!!!! do not move here.. called multiple times for them to fix.. they come look around and leave... leaving the problem unresolved all the time.
