I could not be more pleased with the FREE services provided by Maine SBDC! In particular the detailed support / education provided by my mentor, Peter, is outstanding. Everything a new or small business owner needs to learn is available for free and by an enthusiastic mentor. Peter is teaching me the language, resources, data I need to collect. Having the help of an advisor has been so helpful this year as I am growing an established small business (yoga) AND learning the ins and outs of another start-up, which has more moving parts (aquaculture).

My business partner been receiving some business counseling from Peter Piconi and we could not be happier with the service and advice we've received from him! This is our first business, so we've been leaning on Peter quite a bit for tips from his experience in the business world.

I am starting a small business in Maine. I have no business experience and really, had no idea where to start. I was encouraged to contact the SBDC by a friend. I can not stress how helpful they have been! I was assigned an advocate within 2 days and had a meeting the following week. We have started a small business in Maine called Armor Buddies LLC. Armor Buddies™ is a children’s book series and toy line designed to help children better understand themselves and their potential in this world.
SBDC helped us from the very beginning with our concept of our company right through the launch of our first book.
