Prepare to be misinformed with the wrong number and non of the employees are given the right information to give you the correct stick amount, contact information or anything useful if it is not making them any money. Disappointed by the lack of integrity of such a giant company.

Absolutely terrible. For some reason they are unable to provide a 1099-B with tax information! Everytime you call support they say "we will call you back" and never do. 0 Stars, stay far away from them.

Absolutely terrible. A previous company forced us to use them, and they apparently still have some of my stock and don’t recognize my account info from their own direct letter, so I have no way to contact them (robot phone answer that only accepts this information) and my money is currently inaccessible. Parent / merger company Equniti literally can’t do anything about it, despite escalation… and contact us from AST leads here.

The entire process before of transferring stock out of them took several attempts with poor information online. The website is ancient and difficult to navigate.

Never ever.

This is the absolute worst company on the planet for customer service. Worse than the worst car dealer, and about as responsive as a rock (no offense intended to rocks). Their ridiculous website is just useless, and their phone support is really only for those people who have an hour or so to wait for an actual human. If these guys even get a Better Business Bureau rating, it has to be in the in the triple-minus category.

Ironically, they think they are in the financial services business. "Services"? Humorous.

If they can figure out what happened to the stock they were holding for me, it'll be a minor miracle. Seems to be a recurring theme for other people who have experience with them.

This is by far the WORST and most UNSATISFACTORY service I've ever experienced! When I requested a statement, they insisted it had to be sent by mail, refusing email as an option. I patiently waited for an entire month, only to receive an INACCURATE statement. They were completely UNHELPFUL, taking a whole week to respond to my emails and failing to provide a correct answer. Why this company still exist?

If there was a way to rate them even lower than a 1 I’d do it. AST and now Equiniti is the absolute worst company perhaps on the planet to do business with. They hold stock for a parent of mine. Their website AST was down for weeks if not months. When you spend hours on their phone tree and finally supposedly get a hold of a customer service representative - they can’t provide customer service. They either don’t understand the question, their computers are down or are running ā€œslowlyā€. It’s the end of 2023 get your freaking IT people to do a scheduled shutdown - perhaps over a weekend and get your infrastructure FIXED. Then take all your customer service people either out back and train them like a customer deserves to be treated, understood, replied to. If you can’t do business then you shouldn’t have crossed the ā€œpondā€ to do business in the states, much less with multi-national companies. We’ve had a ongoing issue with AST which then became Equniti and the goal posts keep changing - fee, need this and not that, we may have said this but actually our back room folk say that was wrong and now we need this. This plus they don’t know who provides insurance in NYS - where they do business and its a quick web search to the NYS Division of Insurance and Finance to find out what they could be doing with the same easy key strokes on their end. And not to single out supervisors - but if you promise a response - your word, your companies’ reputation depends on you delivering that response. Clearly they can’t, wont and shouldn’t be in existence if they can’t meet the needs of their customers even the lowliest of them.
