It's taken me a lot to share this on Google but I did say something on Indeed (Kings TeleServices via Continuum). Folks

........don't come....don't come to KTS, Brooklyn.

As much as I enjoyed the class and coo coo boo boo class clowns (I'm kind of one of them), it was a nope for me. I tried to stay at least through the training but here's why I barely made it before leaving. Sorry for the length; that's just me and my 4 cents trying tell everything to advise would-be recruits. Call me a Karen or baby..whatever.

Firstly, the workers seemed generally cool. But after my experience TWO DAYS before training ended and having an A avg, I decided this wasn't for me in terms of the supervisor culture. Don't get me started on the sub pay. They will gossip and chastise you (even us older folks) like you about to get them fired for (you) messing up on your FIRST escalations call. This, in itself, tells me that even grown a-- supervisors seem to harbour emotional maturity issues over the pettiest stuff. Sadly, I did like my instructor a lot. She did make the class fun no lie. But nope, even if she wasn't going to be there after we'd finally get on the floor, her immediate, out of the blue attitude and nasty behavior towards me made me give MYself the boot. That and way too long to get there, and I even live in Brooklyn. Substandard Pay was the main motivator to not take the position before I even started, but I still liked the idea of helping 311 callers. 17-18 per hour is an insult for NYC! For any job! After "literature" training, I kind of enjoyed the rush of the experience talking to and helping callers. But. Then there was the "owner" of the "project". Man is a fiend in my op. He barely could look at us as we were asking him pertinent questions. It was as if he hated being there. Bro---you're using tax payer money to subsidize your employees that you don't deserve in order to profit from the city. Certainly not me. Shame on you. And yes, for what it's worth or not, and like a Karen, I told on your you know what to City 311. Like I'm the only one who has anyway. Maybe clean the CARPET, chairs, desk and buy new equipment at least.

This company is a joke to work for🤣🤣🤣 If u want to work for 311 u are better off applying through the city and getting benefits and a salary and union💯💯💯 Do not become pary of the citys side contracts to save money and only get paid minimum wage🤦🤦🤦 If u end up working on the other end for the PCH department(Publishers clearing house) than u are lucky because that side is little more relaxed(But they do still pick favoritism and will write u up for little things)🤦🤦🤦 The Operations Manager Harri is a little awkward and will claim its part of business needs and always has a team lead(Supervisor) as a witness when u are being wrote up🤣🤣🤣 The Account manager Takeema Crosby will act all professional and strict but will bad mouth u behind your back and try and get u fired so she looks good(Everybody knows she is after RJ’s job when he retires(He is the CEO of KingTele) ) It’s sad because RJ is an actual decent person and if only he knew what was really going on half the time🤔🤔🤔 All i can say is if u want something temporary than go for it but if u want ling term DO NOT CHOOSE HERE because one day u could be without a job for the slightest issue and they will use the whole IT’S AN AT WILL JOB talk with u

Reeks of weed, many employees smoke weed on the job. Most jump the turnstile at the train station. Broken chairs, dirty and smells, bed bugs, roaches. Favoritism, inner group, or inner circle, no security whatsoever, anyone could walk in through the door. The turnover rate is astounding. A/C doesn't work. The list could go on and on. Micromanagement, bureaucracy, complete mismanagement. Shameful.

Don’t ever Apply here . They wasted my time money and energy having come to the middle of nowhere just to send me home and revoke the offer. They send me home because I was didn’t bring physical diploma . They only asked for proof . Then they told me they’re only hiring bilingual which I qualified for. I was scheduled an appointment but no one reached out to me . Later in the month the head of HR told me I did not pass the assessment when I never had the opportunity to take it .

Honestly fine with the job. It pays minimum wage but you just spend the shift answering calls. The staff has been nice and friendly with me and like many have said: the major con is the commute. Its way out there in brooklyn that you have to walk a bit or wait for a b11 bus that comes very infrequently.

Recommend this job if you just need any job at the moment and don't mind the commute or sitting all day.

The work room is a small room with upwards of 200 people, no air conditioning, the elevator doesn't work plus they discourage workers not to wear a mask even after 2 people turned up positive for covid
