Eric is NOT for the faint of heart; If you're madly in love with your pitch deck, or, you need someone to tell you how wonderful your company is, move on. If you need answers on honing your business messaging to get in front of investors, then take the punches from his razor-sharp edits, then get back up and re-enter the ring. Yes, he asks the tough questions but you NEED to be on top of those in order to compete through a seed round. His wealth of information from pitch delivery to exit strategies helped us compete effectively in Road Pitch. 30 minutes after our pitch, we secured a meeting to form our first terms sheet - something 24 hours earlier wasn't even on our radar. Eric's coaching was definitely a game changer for us. If you're fortunate enough to get on his calendar, kick your ego to the curb, sharpen your pencil, and get ready to play a bigger game.

Eric Egeland got in touch with me after a pitch competition I participated in in Vermont. I'm currently developing an online platform for the performing arts called TheaterEngine. At the moment we met, TheaterEngine was a semi-functional beta and we were about to pound the pavement for some capital fundraising. Capacity Business Consulting served an intricate roll in our company's expansion to the New York mid-Hudson region. We began our New York State consolidated grant application while in the early planning stages of our expansion and with only 30 days left to apply. Capacity quickly analyzed our needs and walked us through the application process. Together we were able to find key areas of our expansion that were in line with New York State’s economic development goals. Capacity then helped us craft our application while we focused on finalizing our plans. A few months later we presented with Capacity to the mid-Hudson Economic Development council and were offered a grant by the end of the year.
