I called earlier today to inquire about getting my taxes prepared. I understand it’s late in the season and that I would likely need to file an extension—that wasn’t an issue. I also mentioned that I had a few years of back taxes that needed to be filed. When I shared that information, the person on the phone laughed at me, which I found extremely unprofessional and discouraging.

Later in the conversation, she stated, “I’ll need to take your information and call you back,” but she never actually took my information and ended the call.

Life can be unpredictable, and sometimes people fall behind on their taxes. Reaching out for help is already difficult, and being met with judgment only makes it harder. If you’re looking to get caught up on previous years, this may not be the right place. I recommend reading through the responses to other negative reviews—they speak volumes.

If you only have W2 and 1099 (simple paperwork) okay to use. But if it gets complicated please avoid!!! Been using for years but bought a house last year so I had a little extra paperwork. Bank reported my home loan grant as a 1099-Misc other income box 3 (says it right on the paperwork). Stephanie kept going back and forth with me that we didn't need to use it because it was a home loan grant. Got the run around for over a month. Finally agreed to use it because it was a 1099 but then had me ask BOA were they tax exempt. Once again here we are delay in filing after I provided all documents in February!!!

Back in February I was quoted for 30 forms $220 plus return customer discount of $100 (Been going here for almost if not 10 years) which would've been $120. Well because I kept questioning her ability to file my taxes correctly she decided to file with the 1099 and then take the discount down to $50 which now I owe $170. Petty, right!! I questioned why the amount was now different (had it been $170 before I wouldn't have cared) she said it was because it depends on the number of forms and she gave me a $50 discount. Well little did she know I already screenshotted the original quote. The original was 30 forms $220-$100= $120. New quote only used 29 forms!!! $220-$50= $170. Once I questioned her again she refused to answer my emails.

Moral of the story, very dishonest. If I didn't have proof I wouldn't be able to expose her!!! Lesson learned!!!

Terrible!!! Never again. I asked a simple question,was treated unprofessional. My husband and I had gone here for years. We left the area and I returned after he passed. I returned to this office because this is where husband had come for many years. Thus time,I was treated badly and will never ever return. All I needed was yes or no. Once I had paid, I was no longer important enough to get a simple answer. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Done.

We have been getting our taxes done here for years! Appreciate the knowledge that Carol has to be able to file our taxes quickly and efficiently to get the best return. We don’t trust anyone else with our taxes!

My husband and I have been going to WITS for a few years now and never had a problem. Our schedule was very busy this winter/spring so we called to see if we could submit our taxes electronically to be prepared. When calling WITS they informed us we needed to download their app to submit the taxes and they would be done by one of the tax advisors in the office. We submitted our taxes beginning to mid March. Weeks had passed and we never heard anything. We called to see what was going on and they told us when we upload the tax documents to the app portal that we needed to call to let them know they were there (which we were never informed of when we originally called). Then a few weeks later we received our taxes back, our address was incorrect on all of the tax documents. Not sure how that happened when our address is listed on every tax document we submitted. Our street address was correct, but the city, zip and county was incorrect. When I called regarding WITS error the person who answered the phone told me it did not matter that our address was incorrect on the documents and they could correct it if we wanted. Only did the documents get corrected after several times. They promised calls back that we never got and when we called to follow up they would tell us they were too busy to call back. Horrible customer service - we will not be going back. Plus, I have still not received my tax return back, but my husband has. Makes me think something was entered or completed wrong on my return.
