If you actually knew what you were talking about, you would understand what happened with the SEC. Aaron (the owner) had a client who did something illegal with the SEC. Aaron had no knowledge of this and when he was confronted by the SEC, he offered to help with what he knew (which was not much). THEN the SEC felt like Aaron knew more than he was saying and sued him. Aaron spent ALL of his money and went bankrupt and finally decided rather than take out loans (in the tune of millions of dollars) to fight it any longer, he would accept a small jail sentence to get passed it. NOW he teaches people how to protect themselves so if another person you deal with in business is shady and gets in trouble, you won't be sent to jail just for knowing that person. Laughlin and Associates is now the firm that other law firms go to in order to gt the strongest corporate protection for their clients. His sacrifice is what makes his company so great. He lived through the pain and now helps prevent others from falling into the same traps.
