This has been the utmost rewarding experience for my students. I get to teach them what all goes into creating a book, just off an idea and to also educate them as we go along what each part of the book is called.

Publishing a book with Studentreasures has been a great experience. I use it at the beginning of each school year with my 6th graders. I use it to teach narrative writing. We have had the best time becoming published authors. The kids loved their book. We ended with a red carpet party. The kids dressed to the nines. The kids entered the cafeteria on the red carpet with music. We had parents and community during our gallery walk (observe the kids poetry). Our state and county superintendents came and board. We had tons of parents and grandparents come. We received gifts and a special message from our favorite author friend, Alane Adams. The author sent her book and some gifts for the kids.
