If you are even thinking about booking with them, do it now!! So glad I chose this way over flying to Homer. Chris was my driver and he was exceptional! He was a wealth of knowledge, polite, friendly, and accommodating. Bus is spacious and comfortable. Chris even stopped for us at one of the overlooks so we could take pictures!

WOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!
The bus ride home from Anchorage to Homer was amazing! The experience was a stress free, relaxing and entertaining trip! The seats were comfortable with plenty of leg room, the bus was clean, and right on schedule.
Our driver Leah, displayed confidence and competence in her bus driver responsibilities. She had a welcoming positive attitude and provided informative tid bits about the hotspots along the route, that only a local would know.
You are cheeper, more reliable than a flight with our local airline and provided a no headache, turbulence or white knuckle landing trip, with free inflight entertainment right outside the window!

Honestly, I did not expect the level of comfort and care we experienced on our ride from Anchorage to Homer. An experienced , safety-oriented driver who explained the attractions and always checked in with us was a huge bonus.

Leah was an excellent bus driver on our ride from Homer to Anchorage. She was a great communicator along the 5 hour ride. We had a very nice experience and arrived on schedule to the airport in Anchorage.

Great Service! Took bus from Airport down to Anchor Point to a friends cabin. Bus stopped at my requested drop off location where my friend picked me up. They also dropped off a group half way down that was not able to take a float plane to their lodge. Will definitely be using again.

I would recommend Alaska Bus Company to anyone looking to travel in Alaska! The owners and drivers were so kind and helpful to me during my recent trip from Anchorage to Homer and back.

On my way to Anchorage, my flight was delayed in Seattle, thus forcing me to miss the bus because it leaves Anchorage at 2:00 pm. I called them to let them know prior to this and they told me they'd wait for me as long as they could and if not, they'd refund me no problem as it was out of my control. When I finally landed, I had a voicemail from the driver, Brian, and he told me he had to leave because he had a bus full of passengers but had a helpful idea for a travel alternative that really helped me out! I was able to get on the bus a few hours south and I got to Homer safely! The bus also makes a lot of stops for bathroom breaks or to get food if needed. It's also a nice way to take in more of the state.

Then on my way back north on the bus, I ended up getting incredibly car sick unfortunately, even after taking my motion sickness pills. The driver was very understanding, and they refunded me for half of the trip as I had to get off after an hour.

Although I have yet to do the entire journey either way with them (haha), I really appreciated how helpful and personable they were throughout my experience with them. They saw a need for transportation in the area and they fulfilled it. This was extremely convenient for me to visit my Uncle in Homer and everyone I talked to had only great things to say about them. If you are looking for a convenient way to travel through the state of Alaska, look no further than Alaska Bus Company. Thanks again, Michelle and Brian!

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip with Alaska Bus Service from Anchorage to Homer. The bus was clean, the seats were super comfortable, there was WIFI on board, and the driver was amazing. I actually saw things on this ride that I never have seen before while driving this route many times. I highly recommend! I just wished they operated year round.

Leah was my bus driver and she was excellent! So kind, informative and had such a positive attitude. She pointed out wildlife, gave us tips on where to eat at each stop, and drove us safely and punctually to our destination. She's so hardworking and excels at her job. She deserves a raise!
