We showed up about 50 minutes before closing and had 6 in our party. Qontrece was our server. She and the other staff we talked to were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent! Shrimp and grits were the best I have ever had! We all enjoyed our food and experience here and look forward to coming back when we can!

Server was impressionable, impatient, and rude, the busboy splashed liquid onto our table and the manger appeared to be irritated by our complaint. The owner need to do a complete overhaul of staff if the restaurant is to survive. We ordered food and the biscuits tasted like fish, the gator bites were dry and did not have the sauce, the waiter kept sliding everything across our table. We left and did not stay to eat the food because of service, atmosphere (everything felt dirty) and especially the busboy splashing us with the bucket of drink liquids. Horrible horrible horrible experience for a family of 3 from Chicago.

For the most part, we enjoyed the experience. I will say at lunchtime the portions are less but then again so are the prices. The food was tasty and the staff was very helpful & pleasant. The ambiance was appropriate, somewhat of a fisherman theme, of course. We will return in the future to try out other food choices!

The wings and catfish were delicious, although the St. Louis ribs were a bit dry for my taste. However, the Mac and cheese and green beans were quite good. The service was excellent.

As expected, I had another excellent lunch at Blackbeard's today. I had fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw. After eating shrimp in various forms in North Myrtle Beach last week, Blackbeard's was far better. Other excellent dishes that I have eaten in the past from here include their Shrimp Poboy and their Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo. Their Fried Dill Chip appetizer is also quite tasty. Service is always good.

My husband, our two sons ages, two and 11 months, and my 6 months pregnant self all ate here today. For the very first time. We got the cheese stick appetizer to share. Those were some of the best cheese sticks I've ever had.

I ordered the Catfish dinner with fried okra and baked beans. My husband got the country fried steak meal. The kiddos got a grilled cheese and fries. They also helped us eat our food as they always do.

Everyone loved their food. I can't wait to eat here again. We'll have to stop by when I have my next appointment with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine clinic here in Albany. Our waiter was so great.

He was really kind, helpful, and attentive. He just seemed all together like a good person. He would talk to our little boys like they were family. He made sure we were all taken care of regularly. I believe his name was Jonas. His kind words and understanding meant a lot.

You have to grab life by the horns every once in a while, and today I was grabbing some big ones. Place looked like it had its usual clientele, very comforting scenery, with a nice after church group attending. The food was pretty good, didn't realize how much fried stuff was on the menu and how much of it I ordered when the final plate came out. Still it was filling, nice to try some seafood every once in a while.
