Sad and extremely dry brisket. I asked if we could have bbq sauce on the brisket when I called my order in. The rude lady said I can’t request that because that already comes with bbq sauce… where? This isn’t the first time this has happened and that is specifically why I asked for the bbq sauce to be out on the brisket. She also lied and said she put cups in a container so I could have extra sauce. All of the plates were extremely dry. $100+ in food gone to WASTE! Horrible customer service. How can you be so bad? The audacity to ask me to out a tip was very pathetic.

I stopped in for lunch today and had the lunch special. Chicken fajitas, tamales and beans. Big portions too! Very tasty and quick service. Keep up the great work Vernons!

After a long day of work then a 2.5 hour union meeting I stopped by to grab some food for the family. In typical wife fashion she was indecisive so I ended up placing 2 separate orders. After receiving the 1st order I just grabbed my food and left without checking it. I got home and realized the 2nd order wasn’t sent with the first, totally my fault. After I returned I spoke with the staff and they said they were trying to find me on social media to try and get ahold of me. If that isn’t 5 star service I don’t know what is. Food is amazing as well! Thanks guys.

Great spot for lunch. Stopped here the other day while traveling thru Conroe.
The girl behind the counter was supper helpful and made few recommendations.
The two meat platter was generously portioned and came with two sides.
The brisket was great but the ribs were extremely fatty. The coleslaw was very good and the fries were done just right.

The dining room is spacious and there’s also an outdoor patio if you choose to eat outside.

They also sell beer in addition to fountain drinks and lemonade

I have been coming here often for the past few years and have always been satisfied. The baked potato is my favorite out of all the other restaurants. Every time I go the meat always taste fresh and the potato is fresh as well. The burger is very bland and taste like a frozen Patty. My dad always sends me to Vernon's to get him some brisket, okra, & salted peanuts on my way up from Katy. He absolutely raves about the bar-b-q. The brisket is too dry for me. It has almost no fat, even if you order it moist.

But it's a solid, fun, beer garden, down home atmosphere. Something for everyone - even the kids. We sat outside & chowed down. Enjoyed the atmosphere. There's a lot on the menu. They even had smoked turkey.

My dad also got a stuffed baked potato and said it was really good.

You can order barbecue by the pound, too, but they have to split the order for togo food & dine-in.

We ate outside (mid-October)around 3 p.m. and it was perfect. No wait.

Note: bathrooms are on the outside of the building from the beer garden.

Can't comment on the food because I didn't get that far. I tried calling and placing an order for 12 people and they are tge rudest place I've ever tried to work with.
We order lunch for guests quite often, and I always prefer to spend money at local establishments rather than big corporations. Not today....I'll be ordering from Rudy's because they are incredibly unhelpful.
Whoever runs this place should find a new person to answer tge phones, because the current person cost you a good sale today.
A little customer service goes a long way.
