The tax group send out an email yesterday, to clients with a two page attachment. The attachment was an informational letter with reference to general policies. All policies making it easier and more convenient for the tax group office staff. No where in the attachment were any words like "we appreciate your business" or "we would like to make this process as easy for you, our customer, as possible" or "call us anytime with questions or suggestions". Rather it came across as a scolding, warning customers that if they asked too many questions they would be billed, if customers didn't pick up their return in the allotted period of time, the customer would incur additional charges. They may be good at tax preparation but their customer service skills could use a refresher course.

2/12/2025 Updated review. Now that I am preparing paperwork and re-reading the tax groups letter, I would like to point out that the tax group has an online portal for its clients. Sort of. Clients that live in Sonoma County are not allowed to use the online portal, documents must be delivered to their physical office. Only clients that are not Sonoma County residents can use the portal. They can do whatever they want, it's their business. I think it's important to point out the environmental concerns with people driving to and from their offices as opposed to being able to use the portal just seems a bit short sighted.

We've filed taxes through Vinecrest for a number of years. They went above and beyond to help us navigate identity theft and ensure our tax return wasn't compromised with detailed instructions and additional work on their end. We highly recommend them.

Very unprofessional way of doing business. This tax group has been used for several years by my family. Had an appointment with Paula Walsh. I showed up to said appointment which was made over a month ago and was told by a male who works in the office that Paula had just called him to cancel my appointment. Walsh could have left me a message stating she was canceling. Male made a variety of excuses which were not acceptable stating that "our reputation is speaks for itself."
