I have known Philip Hatfield for 37 years; I admire him as a speaker, an author, and a friend. I was promoting the National Bruce Lee Scholarship Tournament in Fort Worth when I met him as he was managing the Ramada Inn Hotel, where Linda Lee and many other martial arts celebrities were guests.
We reconnected when I was giving a Christian devotional at Zig Ziglar’s office For Mr. Ziglar, his staff, and his guests. By this time Philip had been in a near fatal motorcycle accident leaving him as an amputee. Because of his strong character and resilience, and great sense of humor, he is my go-to person for overcoming adversity.
As I am a Ziglar certified speaker and coach, we often cross paths and encourage one another. Phillip Hatfield is a wise and humble man. I promoted him to honorary Black Belt, as a “black belt in motivation.” He is a national treasure and truly inspirational!

I met Phillip about 3 years ago. He was hard to read at first, but as I got to know him and listened and actually heard what he was stating, I came to understand and use principles that's he's shared with me. Phillip is a Grandfather, Father, Husband, Friend, Survivor, Author, Leader and even a comedian(occasionally) that is worth listening to. He has a real heart to help, teach, suggest, and see those around him succeed. He's able to encourage and teach with his outstanding experience. I wish I had met him 15 years ago.
