Doug is an amazing professional and we are so glad we used him to help place our young adult. He got to know our child and found the perfect placement for him. Two years later, we are happy to say he is a thriving self sufficient adult and frankly we could not have done it without Doug's guidance in choosing the most appropriate placement for our son's needs. When I read through the rest of these reviews, I see posts by a lot of angry disgruntle youngsters and their friends, but as a parent I can firmly attest to the fact that he was a life saver.

We used Bodin as a “gutcheck” on some schools for our child, just to make sure we were optimizing for the best experiences for him. Although their website discusses assistance with highly specialized learning needs, they are helpful for any child, we wanted them to just get to know our child’s profile and intuitively suggest good matches that would help him thrive. We found Miriam to be thoughtful, insightful, detail-oriented, and extremely aware of being efficient so as not to waste time or resources. She asked to speak to our son’s teacher so that she could really understand what makes him tick, and saved us hours in visiting schools that would likely not have been a fit. We wish that a service like this was an option for everyone; we found it to be extremely helpful for us and, we believe, for our son.

Don’t come here for consultation for your child. Maybe Doug is alright but let me share my experience. I first met with DOUG BODIN in January 2011. The first meeting I ever had with him, he basically told me I looked homeless and gross. A week later I was in wilderness for 3 months and then on to northwest academy in Bonners Ferry Idaho. I definitely needed some type of rehabilitation/structure. But there was definitely some illegal and weird stuff going on at each program. Fast forward to October 2022. Northwest academy the school I “graduated” from has been shut down for years and there is no way for me to get my high school diploma or reach anyone that worked at the school. It was just a weird and confusing experience and still is. I would not recommend coming here for any reason unless you want to spend all your money and get zero results in the end.

Stay away as mentioned. Kids are sent to places that are inhumane and they will only keep taking your money.
